"It's been a while since we visited the cabin as a family hasn't it ?" The last time they had been here was about 5 years ago and Theo was merely 11 . He was 16 now and entering his junior year. " Yeah our Hina wasn't even able to walk yet ". His mom with her usual smile said. The cabin was a four hour ride outside the city. All phones had been picked up by Theo's father, Tim,and Theo had been sitting in the back bored ever since.
As he got out of the car he begin to stare at the cabin. It was his grandpa's who had disappeared earlier that year. No one knows where he went. He had just vanished without a trace without any clues to where he was going . But , Theo always thought his grandfather was a little weird . His parents were convinced that he had grown tired of the forest and went on some type of vacation . Just as Theo was about to enter the cabin his dad asked him if he was forgetting something. " Remembering his mom was 8 months pregnant and his dad needed help with the bags Theo rushed back to the car.
Now that all the grunt work was done he decided to see what his grandpa was up to for the past five years. As Theo looked through the cabin he noticed that his grandfather added multiple wolves to his collection. Several of them with heads bigger than deer. Theo had seen wolves at the zoo and on TV and none had ever grew near that size.He finished his trip through memory lane and rested a bit.
Night came quick as him and his family settled into their home for the weekend. They say in the living room just enjoying the sound of the fire crackling. Theo, still curious about where his grandpa , asked his dad what his grandfather had done for a living . Tim told him that he owned a car dealership but , since retiring .took up hunting as a hobby and started making some money.
As Tim father was about to get into detail,. A loud thud came from outside.,All attention was shifted toward the window. As they made their way toward the door both of them grabbed the flashlights that were hang near the fireplace while going to investigate the sound . After waving their flashlights around for about five minutes Tim thought it might have been a raccoons . But Theo had difficulty believing-that. He thought it would be weird for raccoons to be wander around a hunters lodge. Still he went back inside to his family.
An hour had passed and everyone we're soundly asleep . As the peaceful sound of music played it seemed like the day had finally come to an end . Then a sudden gust of cold air blew through the cabin.The room went dark and the music stopped. This almost insta woke Theo and his father. They looked at each other with concerned looks upon their faces and grabbed the flashlights they had just used.
There couldn't have been a power outage cause Tim had filled the generator when they arrived . And that also didn't explain the sudden gust of cold wind they felt . So ,they begin to search the house. They made their way into back room where Theo's grandpa stored his hunting weapons. Tim leading the way noticed the door was cracked. It had been locked since they arrived.Something weird was going on and he knew it. As they crept in they called out "Shawn" thinking it could have been Theo's grandpa. Instead they found window that was partially open.
Then a loud squeal was heard.
Tim and Theo rushed to see what had happened. The screams they heard were caused by 3 man in tattered robes standing over their family. They were pale and had eyes as red as blood. One of them stood almost eight foot tall with a body like a bear. An almost deafening stare was going on that could send shivers down the back of lions. Then, In a moments notice Tim , made a run toward the back room
Theo, still frozen with fear was still staring at the goliath and his companions. But in an instant there were only two men standing before him.Somehow he had vanished right before his eyes. Seconds later a strange sound filled the room. It sounded like a pipe had just bursted from under a sink. Hearing this Theo slowly turned to find his father standing behind him but , one of the strange man with something in his hand. It was the head of his father Theo's mother let out a loud shriek. Than silence . Theo in a state of shock turned around to witness not only his mother, but his sister beheaded. After seeing this Theo could dropped to his knees . "This has to be a dream " he thought. Theo had witnessed the unimaginable happen. And all he could do was watch.
This sent something inside him-rabid All he he kept seeing was the dead eyes of his father. He wanted to do the same to those monsters in front of him. But how could he ? He was as weak as they came and had barely enough strength to keep his head up. As Theo sank further and further into darkness he caught a glimpse of something. He reached to grab the the weird item that had floated before.As his hands engulfed the item: Images of wolves as big as cars flooding his brain while the loud echo of howls filled his ears.
Meanwhile, the men thought Theo passed out from shock and had given up on life. The giant decided to put him out of his misery and begin to swing in Theo's direction. But ,before the giant could do anything he was stopped. "This could be our chance to hurt that man even more " after one of the men said this the giant bagged away. Then what looked like leader grabbed Theo by the head . He lifted Theo ,chanted something in a indescribable language, and sank his teeth into Theo's neck. This sent Theo completely into a seizure like state. The darkness closed in and the man begin to make their way out of the house. As their footsteps faded Theo heard one of the men say . " Heres a gift ".
