( Matt's POV )
Having used most of the tickets I was hoping to get something good or at least something useful for the upcoming battle but the first things didn't give me much hope, Khiren Water X5, Herbs X3, Psy Crystal, Potion, Smoke Bomb X3, Sleep Bomb X2, Gunpowder Bomb X8, Cotton Shirt.
Those were things that could definitely come in handy at times but the really good stuff started to come out after that, Psynergy armor, iron shield, Mail cap, Broadsword, Muramasa, and Djinn: Lull.
Matt: Perfect, my first Djinn.
As I pull out the Djinn card, a purple creature with green eyes appears in front of me, It had wings coming out of its head, but I thought they were just decorations because it was floating without moving.
The dijim appeared making sounds as if it were humming a lullaby, I extended my hand forward and it started to make circles around me and then it floated up and down like it was jumping for joy, then that transformed into spheres of light that entered my body, that was not painful like when I gained my first attitude as an adept but I could feel similar energy inside my body.
Eris: I think she likes you.
Matt: That's good, we're going to fight together for a long time.
After gaining new powers, I took out the new equipment I had gotten and started equipping it, the Psynergy armor looked like simple leather armor but it slightly increased my energy reserves, and the iron shield replaced the wooden one, when I was about to put on my head protection, Eris started another explanation.
Eris: The GM gives you some benefits for some of the equipment you use, things like full helmets can be hidden or can be transparent from inside so as not to obstruct your vision.
Matt: that is convenient.
After putting on my new armor I set my sights on the Muramasa long katana, definitely something more powerful than all the weapons I had, the problem was that it was a cursed weapon.
Eris: también hay algo para equipo maldito, anything you receive through the GM will not be able to cause instant death and you will be able to equip or unequip that without restriction, but things like the occasional paralysis from that weapon will still affect you.
Matt: I think there was a ring that could counteract that paralysis effect, how much would that cost?
Eris: The cleric's ring, that costs 30,000 Vic.
Matt: We'll have to forget about that for now, I think I have what I need.
I bought more magazines and the laser sight for my pistol and then went up the stairs to the next floor, that was another small room with a huge double stone door in front of me, those doors slid open automatically and on the other side was the boss's room, it was a large circular room made of bricks so it wasn't difficult to identify it.
I walked slowly and as I entered the room the doors closed behind me, I immediately got into a battle stance with my sword in one hand and my pistol in the other, my axe and broadsword appeared beside me and I raised them with my psychic hands.
In front of me was a large dark corridor and I could hear loud footsteps approaching me, the first thing I saw was a giant hand grabbing the frame of the tunnel and from there came a giant humanoid creature, with thick muscles and carrying a giant mace, that looked like an giant ogre capable of devouring me in one bite.
For a moment that felt like an eternity I couldn't hear a sound, as if my impending doom was hovering over me, It seems that I was scared more than I even knew, looking at the powerful monster I took a deep breath and when I let the air out of my lungs and my fears along with it, I started blasting.
*Roar*
With such a big target I couldn't miss but my shots at his head couldn't blind him as I planned, the ogre let out a deafening roar and with a sweep of his mace he tried to finish me off, and seeing the damage I was causing to the arena he wouldn't have had much trouble with that.
I created a stone pillar underneath me to get out of range of the attack and jumped so I wouldn't be knocked down along with the pillar when the swing passed underneath me.
While I was in the air the ogre threw a fist at me with his other hand, with my new mastery of the wind element I kicked the air and managed to get high enough to avoid his attack.
I landed on the back of his hand and ran along his arm as I dragged my sword and swung with my other weapons but my attacks seemed to have no effect.
Still I kept running and aimed for a more vulnerable spot, his eyes, I was going to throw my axe and broadsword but at that moment the ogre seemed to smile a little and some flames came out of the corners of his mouth and when he opened his mouth he let out a devastating fire breath, I raised both shields to protect myself but that wasn't very effective, then with a jerk of his arm I was launched into the air and a powerful swing of the ogre's mace sent me crashing into the wall.
Unlike mine, his attacks did a ton of damage, I was bleeding all over and I felt a lot of things broken inside me but adrenaline was keeping me in the fight and I kicked up my healing abilities.
The ogre walked towards me putting a lot of weight in his steps and making the floor shake beneath him, I wasn't going to get ready in time so I took out the potion and healing herbs that I had gotten, I was going to throw it all in my mouth and at that moment my Djinn Lull left my body.
Lull stood between the ogre and me and began to hum a lullaby, a calming light came out of its body and the ogre seemed to lose its will to fight for a moment.
I took the opportunity to use all the consumables and immediately got back on my feet.
Matt: All right, big guy, time for round two.
