"Yes sir. I will but this Skiddo looks very healthy. Yet, I will still examine it."
Axel bent down and said to Skiddo, "He will just test you. Don't worry, it will be over in just a minute. Okay?"
Skiddo seemed to have already created some bond with Axel. It gave a low hump and then followed Gora for the test.
Since it had just been born it was still getting used to walking. Gora was first going to let it get used to the new environment and then he was going to test it.
"I was right. Some of my talent has also been transferred to this day care. So, if you have anyone that can train the Pokemons in the day care, I ask you to send them. They will benefit a lot from this.", said Axel.
"I will do that. What are you going to do now?", asked Angela.

Axel observed the day care for a few days and he came to realize that Morgan was very helpful. He knew the ways of tide battles as he was a soldier before and he was an excellent trainer. So, he was not only training the Pokemons in the day care but also helping others like K, Agnes, and members of the Venu family in training their own Pokemons.
One of the reasons why he was still here was to get his 2 Pokemons. Koffing and Pawniard. There were still some eggs of these 2 Pokemons that Axel could not see the status of but he could not wait for a long time. He had to train his Pokemons. So, he had to choose those Pokemons right now.
His plan was to get these Pokemons and go to Fairy Tail. He wanted to have a close connection with these 2 Pokemons and being with them was necessary. He had already realized that this was important because he could already tell that Wartortle and Aron were not so close to him and this would affect their performance at the crucial time.
He didn't want to make the same mistake again. So, he was going to take them but he also didn't want to forgo the benefits of the day care, especially the one where the Pokemon would only need to wait for 2 months before starting the training.
Then he realized that if he didn't catch them in a Poke ball, the buff still applies. So, he was content with it.

After waiting for some time, Koffiing finally came out of the egg.
"KOFFING!!!" It shouted in excitement.
Since it had just been born, it could not fly around. It needed to manipulate gasses around it.
"Hello Koffing, I am going to be your trainer from now on. Do you want to come with me?", asked Axel.
Koffing starred at Axel for some time and now finally it decided to risk it. It went near Axel and then rolled around his feet.
He found it quite comical. It was very exciting in nature and it loved to pull pranks. This was a good nature for a Pokemon. Axel looked at his stats again.

That was why Axel chose this Pokemon. First of all, it had 6 egg moves which was a lot for a new Pokemon. One of the advantages of egg moves was that they were easy to master.
Koffing was a Pokemon who was known to have a good defense. So, moves like 'Stockpile' would be essential for it. 'Toxic' was a powerful move as the poison damage would stack up.
'Gunk shot' was just made for this Pokemon and 'Explosion' was very powerful. Axel wanted Koffing to have a fire-type hidden power, so he told Gora to do the experiment with this. It knew 'Heat wave' now but every Koffing could learn this move, so he was not sure if its hidden power would be fire.
