Mo Xiuchen watched her lip-pressing gesture, a touch of gloom flashing through the depths of his eyes. He lifted his hand, his long fingers gently caressing her cheek, "Ranran, I'm leaving now."
"Go ahead, don't keep my dad and Mayor Chen waiting," Wen Ran said, smiling as she urged him on.
Mo Xiuchen also smiled, bending down to peck her on the lips before letting her go and striding out of the hospital room.
Wen Ran turned her head to watch the door close, then she crouched down, her hands resting on the baby crib's rail, focusing on the two familiar little sleeping faces in it.
Before becoming pregnant, she had simply thought about having a son and a daughter for Mo Xiuchen, to make up for their unhappy childhoods, believing that watching their children grow up would be the happiest thing in the world and the most romantic love between them.
