After waiting a few minutes, we were finally directed inside the throne room to speak with Lodin.
"So you see me as a fool is that it. You so brazenly bring a mortal to Asgard, do you think my earlier tolerancefor you will be extended to your wench." Lodin said scathingly.
Even knowing the situation, I played my part just as well.
"Just do what I do." I whispered to Nat as I could see she was a little nervous. Not much mind you, which is very impressive for someone who is just a normal human by Asgardian standards.
I kneeled and bowed my head.
"I apologize if my actions seem rude Allfather, but as the savior of Asgard from the Dark Elves, I was told I was always welcome on Asgard and was given a promise of a favor for my help in the battle." I explained, only raising my head to speak.
The truth of the matter is, that Odin made no such promise, but Lodin here doesn't know that and Thor wouldn't either, so Lodin has no one to question of the validity of my words.
Lodin sighs deeply before raising his staff and letting it fall, creating an echoing thud.
"You are of course right. You did help to save Asgard and for that I will hear you now." Lodin replied.
"I do not wish to impose upon you Allfather, I simply need a ship and coordinates to the nearest civilizations outside the Nine Realms. I had heard Thor speak of a planet called Xandar, I would request that I get those coordinates especially." I replied while keeping my head down again.
Lodin was actually very glad it was something so small and he wasn't at all unhappy at the fact that I had to bow down to him especially since I was one of the ones who helped defeat him during his invasion. So he stood up to give his answer, making sure to stop and stare at the mortals as he happily saw at least one of them shaking slightly.
"Very well, I shall have one of my soldiers procure a vessel with what you have requested. You may leave." Lodin said as he sat back on the throne.
"Thank you Allfather, I shan't forget your patronage." I said as I slowly left the throne room with Nat where we met Thor outside.
"So did you get what you needed from my father?" He asked.
"Yes, we should be on our way soon." I replied.
"I see. Well, we shall have a grand celebration when next you find yourself on Asgard." Thor said happily as we walked farther away from the room.
"Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way."
As we walked I a soldier came up to Thor and explained everything to him.
We continued our walk, but changed our direction to what I assumed was where the ships were stored.
"So, I hear you wish to visit Xandar?" Thor asked.
"Yes, after the many many stories you told of it, how could I not?" I asked jokingly by which time we had finally arrived at the shipyard.
"Quite right. Well my friend, I wish you good luck on your travels." Thor said as he gave me an Asgardian handshake.
He took us to what looked Luke a viking ship and this was one of the things I was very glad was different than the MCU as this version of Asgard has very advanced ships that simply looked like Viking ships but contained a lot of powerful features.
We ended up saying goodbye to Thor as we boarded the ship and it started up as I put in the coordinates for Xandar. The ship had it's own forcefield that allowed it to be unaffected by space outside and has its own rotating plasma cannons that were powerful enough to damage the ships of the Dark Elves which were said to be very powerful.
As we were making our way to Xandar, Nat began asking questions about Xandar and what all I knew about space.
"So Thor told you a lot huh?" She asked.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" I asked.
"Did he happen to tell you how we are going to be able to speak to anyone while we are there?" She asked.
"Uh, no. But, I do have my Transliteration/Translation Tech that I brought which should be able to work as a translator." I explained.
"How does that work with alien languages?" She asked.
"The same way it works for all languages. It listens to what the person is saying and sends back the audio file which is then translated to English based on a comprehensive analysis. This is all helped with the translator included in this ship which my Tech is able to use."
The difference between Translation and Transliteration that makes it a helpful addition to my technology, is that Transliteration emphasizes how a word or phrase is pronounced, rather than its meaning which the translation aspect handles.
This allows for a very comprehensive translation that there is a 100% chance of a correct translation.
"OK, with that out of the way, I gotta ask, what are the different kinds of powers you actually have?" Nat asked curiously.
"That's what you wanna know? Out of all the things to talk about during the journey?" I asked.
"Yes, it's very interesting, besides it's bot everyday you find someone with multiple abilities." Nat replied with a grin.
"Alright, I can give a basic rundown and small demonstrations depending on the power." I said as i couldn't demonstrate the really powerful abilities like Cyclops' or Storm's
"Alright I guess I'll start with the basics. I have super strength." I said.
"Like Steve?" Nat asked.
"Ha, no. Where Steve could possibly hold on to a helicopter and keep it from moving if he leveraged himself, I can lift the helicopter. And not even strain to do it, I can do it easily.
Now that is only the basic amount of strength, I can do a lot more if I feel like it." I explained.
"Wow, so definitely stronger than Steve." Nat said with a chuckle.
"Alright, next is the fact that I can turn invisible and I can control Bio Electricity."
"Oh, can I see?" Nat asked.
"Sure, although you won't technically see me." I joked.
Nat simply rolled her eyes at the terrible joke.
I then turned invisible right in front of her eyes.
"Wow, even your clothes are invisible, I things I'd see like floating clothes or something." Nat replied.
"It's pretty easy, I just have to extend the invisible, for lack of a better term, aura, onto my clothes as well." I explained.
I then began to create blue electricity from my hands talking as I showed her.
"I can manipulate the Bio Electricity in my body, and using it, absorb other types of electricity and even energy in certain situations, using this I can send out bolts of electricity and if I was so inclined, even drain the electricity from another person." I explained.
Nat was listening intently with an almost childlike glee until I said the last part.
"Drain their electricity? Wouldn't that make them braindead?" She asked.
"Yes and no. The brain runs on electricity billions of neurons firing constantly to control every part of your body. If I absorb all that, they wouldn't just be brain dead, their brain wouldn't be bale to function without the electricity and they'd slowly be unable to use their body until their brain finally died.
It is a terrifying aspect of this specific ability, but I'm glad I have it in the absolute worst situation." I explained.
Nat seemed to pause and I could guess what she was thinking, it makes sense why people would be scared of people like him, the things he can do are definitely scary.
"Alright that was very morbid, let's go to the more fun powers." I said with a grin.
Nat seemed to snap out of her trance and nodded.
I then showed her how I could teleport and Wolverine's claws and Iceman's ability, while explaining the basic things I could do with each one, answering her questions along the way.
"Oh this next one is one of my favorites though." I said to which she nodded.
"It's pretty dangerous at full power so I'll give you a small demonstration, check it." I said as she watched as saw my eyes begin to glow red.
Then she watched as I wrapped a forcefield around myself, went outside the ship and then sent the two red beams from my eyes and they shot into the depths of space.
I came back to the ship and watched Nat who had wide eyes with a mischievous grin.
"That is just a very basic form of it, I can make it a lot more powerful." I explained.
"Is that all?" Nat asked wondering if the fun display of powers was over.
"Not quite yet, stay tuned." I replied as I continued.
