It took some time for the boys to heal all the men. We spent the next couple of days monitoring the ones they healed and making sure that their symptoms were in fact all gone. Aster and Tarik quickly became the apples of all our eyes with their compassion and their innocence.
After a couple of days, Eva was feeling much better as well. She still couldn’t move all that well, but she could walk. She watched her sons with a mixture of pride and deep affection as they healed the warriors.
I couldn’t be happier for her now that she had her children back. I already loved Aster and Tarik as well and knew that we would be extremely close in no time.
But it did make me miss my girls immensely as well.
When the last of the men were healed and they had been monitored for a full day, we decided it was time to make the long trek back to the Drogomor pack. I led the way, eager to get back to my own family.
