Ethanethiol is a transparent, colorless liquid. A ton of liquid doesn't actually take up much space, and a large sealed hazardous chemical storage tank would surely be sufficient.
But because ethanethiol's danger lies in its stench, not its corrosiveness or high toxicity, its storage requirements are stricter than those of ordinary hazardous chemicals.
The helicopter delivered ten 100-kilogram sealed canisters. The canisters were escorted by an Army Aviation lieutenant, who, looking quite bewildered after getting off the helicopter, handed over a product manual.
