"And what the hell are you doing?" Chris asked her and yanked her hand off him in disgust.
"I was just thinking, why don't you just listen to what mother said for the sake of Jane, you want your child to have another mother apart from her biological mother?" she asked trying to look as pitiful as possible.
Chris could not help but smile, she's pathetic but as he his trying to move, she kept getting in his way, he didn't know why but he felt like something was definitely up somewhere.
"You are so pathetic, Jane is going to have another mother that she loves more than she even looks at you," he said and pushed her away.
Angel already expected it so she quickly found her balance before she fell, she looked up at the stairs and saw Maria stepping down, she just hoped that she had taken enough convincing pictures.
After they finished eating, Chris returned to his room to relax, while Grace helped prepare the kids for school, she took them to school all by herself today, she misses doing that.
As they got into the car, her phone began to ring and she quickly picked it up without even looking at the ID.
"I can't stop thinking about you" That's the first thing that she heard and she immediately knew who it was and she could not help but blush.
"Are you not supposed to be working by this time doc?" she teased him
"I doubt if I will be able to work well if I don't hear from you and I really can't wait to see you," he said to her and she blushed even more, she had waited for years to hear these words from him but she never did and now when she has even given up, the words are just starting to flow.
"I'm taking the kids to school, I will talk to you when I get back," she said she quickly hung up, she really could not stand his cheekiness.
Maria got dressed as fast as she could, she had the whole of today to carry out all the nonsense, she took her car keys and headed for her car, she had already told Angel to wait for her in the garage so they could go out together.
Her plan is kicking off successfully little by little, she plans for them to go to the spa together and also go shopping and do every other thing that a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law is supposed to do.
They would also be visiting a bridal shop to get wedding gowns and flowers just to create a buzz in the media, she just hopes that this works and it will help to get the idiot off her back till she gets someone to help in killing him.
There is no way that she's allowing Angel to marry her son and make them a part of her family, something tells her that he's not just aiming at being an in-law with the richest family in the country, he wants something bigger and she will not allow that, she can't allow a nobody that was made by her husband take away their family fortune.
Maria got to the car and opened it and they got on their way, she had already made an anonymous call to the biggest media company telling them of their movement and they all also like cheap gossip so she was sure that they would be on their way in no time.
As soon as they got to the bridal shop, Maria could already spot a photographer and she knew they were the one, after they finished at the bridal shop, they went shopping for other things, went to the spa and eventually ended the whole thing at a restaurant where they ate and pretended to be all cozy with each other.

Chris spent the rest of the day teaching and putting Kyle through all the things that he will need to know and do at the company, he has no idea when Jane will be waking up and he does not plan to leave her side, but somebody needs to fill the position of the company's head because it was already causing a stir in the market and some of their investors are already starting to complain.
Grace returned home and she went straight to her room, the conversation she had with Mike this morning made her realize that she wanted to bring out the note and investigate the handwriting.
She quickly scrambled through her things and she found the note, the same note that broke and shattered her heart into pieces, she read through the note again but this time, the note didn't have the same effect it normally has on her, she doesn't feel sad like she would normally feel, and that's because she now knows that the note is not from Mike, at least that's what he said.
