Chapter 243 - Chapter 243

"What!" Maria exclaimed in shock.

"You heard my wife, you should not be holding in such manner." Christopher said and gently removed Angel's hand away from his arm, and jerked it off.

He walked down the stage and took Jane by the hand and brought her to face him.

"You look absolutely stunning and gorgeous. I can't believe you are now my wife Jane." Chris said and Jane smiled at him.

"I cannot believe it too. It all feels like a dream." Jane said and the both of them stared into each other's eyes. Time seemed to stop, and the only thing that mattered were their hearts beating as one.

Jane felt tears trickle down her cheek. She chuckled as she tried to blink back the tears, but she could not help it. All she has ever wished for, all she has ever wanted. She has it now and even more.

"Come," Chris said and took her to the stage. Jane's stomach twisted in a knot. She didn't know how to act, but she's sure trying her best to act right. She can't screw this moment.

She met with glaring gazes. Some of the women looked at her with jealously burning through their eyes. Then her eyes fell on Grace who was smiling at her. She smiled back, her worries melting away.

"I'm sorry you had to hear this way dad, but Jane and I registered our marraige not quite long." Chris announced and everyone gasped.

"I love Jane so very much. And I just couldn't wait another day to make her mine." Chris said and Jane blushed in embarrassment. She can't believe he's professing his love for her in the presence of everyone.

"Son what nonsense are you saying? How can you be married to your maid? She's a nobody. I know you habour resentment towards Angel because of the things she did in the past, but she's a better choice than this." Maria climbed up the stage and said. There was no way she was going to allow her son marry this maid.

"Mom, I think it's too late for that now. Didn't you hear what Chris said. They registered their marriage, give up on the matter already." Grace defended her brother and Jane.

"Stop talking right this minute Grace, you don't even know what you are saying. I'm sure your brother is only trying to pull my legs. There's no way he's married to her." Maria said refusing to believe what's happening.

"Here mother, maybe this will convince you." Chris said and stretched his hand. Jack walked forward and handed the document over to Chris.

Maria snatched the document from Chris's hand and checked. She staggered back in shock seeing they are truly married.

"You bitch! How dare you....." Maria launched at Jane but Chris stopped her.

"Don't you dare try to lay a finger on my wife mother. She's the lady of this house now." Chris warned and Maria froze on the spot.

"What!" She exclaimed in shock, her voice shaking.

"No! No!! No!!! This can't be happening. Dad! You said this wasn't going to happen." Angel yelled and slumped on the floor crying.

"Pull yourself together," Jonas ran towards her, and pulled her up.

"We have lost dad. This bitch beat us to it, we have lost." Angel whispered and laughed out loud wickedly.

"Are you going to pick this bitch right here over your own mother?" Maria was shocked and embarrassed as to how Chris stood up to her.

"Listen here rich lady, I've had enough of you calling my girl such names. She has done nothing wrong to you." Mrs Whitney walked into the spotlight saying. She didn't want to interfere so as not to make things difficult for Jane, but she can't stand it anymore.

"Who the hell do you think you are to....." Maria was starring to throw a fist.

"Enough Maria, I think you have said enough." Williams was the one who spoke this time. He climbed the stage and dragged Maria. He wasn't going to just stand there and let her continue to embarass their family with her childish tantrums.

"You too! Williams I can't believe you are supporting them. You should be scolding that maid for not knowing her place." Maria was so angry while Angel spurred there on the floor crying her eyes out.

"Williams!" Mrs Whitney soft voice caught everyone's attention. Williams froze on the spot as he heard that familiar voice. He turned and couldn't believe his eyes.

"Whitney!" Williams muttered and dropped Maria's hand instantly. He didn't want to believe what he's seeing, but there's no way he's wrong.

"Williams!" Maria called out in panic. She shivered her legs, shaking.

Jack already knew what was going on and wasn't the least surprised. He knew this was going to happen. He then ordered the guards to walk everyone out of the hall. Because the night is about to get even more interesting.

"What's happening?" Jane asked Chris, who was also very confused.

"Dad!" Grace called out in confusion. She had never seen her father act like this before. He looked smitten. She looked at Mrs Whitney as well, and could sense the same energy.

Her mind drifted to the things her father said to Chris in his room and she wondered if Mrs Whitney is the woman.

"Williams don't listen to anything she says. Where the hell did you all crawl out from trying to ruin my life? Guards! Chase these two women out of here. They don't belong here, this is my family." Maria yelled crazily with her palm over her ears.

She could hear voices in her head mocking her. There's no way this is happening to her.

"Mrs Whitney, what's going on here?" What's happening?" Jane was curious. Maria looked up at Jane, and the realisation hit her.

She's Joana's daughter. She looks just like her. No wonder she always felt she knew her. This must be the reason why she hated her.

"No! No!! This can't be, she's dead, she's dead." Maria repeated.

"Mrs Smith, are you okay?" Jane asked and moved closer to her. She noticed the way she was speaking and felt something was wrong.

"No! Stay away from me! Stay away!!" Maria yelled, crying, and everyone was even more confused.

"Christopher is your son?" Mrs Whitney gathered the courage to ask, and Williams nodded, tears streaming down his cheek.

"Yes Whitney. Chris, Grace, and Kyle. All three of them are my children." Williams replied.

"No!" Mrs Whitney muttered and slumped to the floor.
