Listening to Tuba's laughter, Charles felt a chill run down his spine. He looked at his navigator and slowly asked, "Tuba, what are you laughing at?"
The still laughing Tuba suddenly stiffened, quickly turned his head to look at Charles, and in a very pleased voice said, "Of course I laugh when I encounter good things. We've defeated them and gotten so much good stuff. Should I be crying instead?"
Turns out, his laughter, like that of a villain, wasn't due to some grand evil scheme—it was just out of pure joy.
Suppressing the urge to roll his eyes, Charles anxiously said to him, "Now is not the time to be happy. The problem is solved, quickly get us out of here."
He'd already stayed in this eerie place far too long and now just wanted to leave as fast as possible.
"What's the rush? These things have been specially fermented by them, they're especially easy to absorb." Tuba pointed at the large heap of human corpses on the ground as he spoke.
