The rest of the night was rather dull. After taking the tongs away from Di Tou, Old Hong cooked up another few pieces of meat to share with Di Tou, as well as making a chunk for Old Fu to take home. Whether Old Fu would have preferred the uncooked meat to cook himself was another question, but in either case, Old Hong also liked roasting meat even if he wasn't very good at it.
Leaving the meat on the table full of dishes that they had finished, Old Hong let out a yawn and told Di Tou he was going to relocate to his bed and sleep out the rest of the night to let the alcohol wear off, and wouldn't be drinking anymore, but that Di Tou was also welcome to take a guest bed if he needed a place to stay the night.
Of course, Di Tou accepted the offer. He was originally going to just stay out in the wild for the night! After all, with what little money he had, he couldn't afford much, and in such a small village there wasn't even a proper tavern, much less an inn.
