Qin Feng blinked in confusion, then gently returned her hug, his hand slowly patting her back.
"I wanted to gain more information," he said softly. "You… you would've done the same."
"I was scared to death!" she shouted into his chest, tears streaming down her cheeks. "And no! I wouldn't have done it!"
"I'm sorry," he said, stroking her hair gently. "But I'm here now."

A heavy thud echoed behind them.
Su Jiyai turned just in time to see Madam Queen, pale and shaking, staggering to her feet in the corner of the RV.
Her face was twisted in fury, her fingers curling into claws.
"You…" she hissed, eyes locking onto Su Jiyai. "It's you. It's your fault."
Su Jiyai stood quickly, shielding Qin Feng with her body. "What are you talking about?!"
