Chapter 599 - Chapter 599: Indira's Power

"Indira's power is indeed unique!" Muria, with his lower body completely submerged in scorching lava, gazed upward. In a place beyond the reach of ordinary sight, a large hole had appeared in the world's thin barrier, with bite marks left by some creature.

Recalling the previous scene, Muria's eyes revealed a look of astonishment. It was well known that the thinness of a world's barrier was proportional to the world's scale—the larger and higher quality the world, the stronger the barrier's external defenses.

Undoubtedly, the world's barrier where Muria currently resided was much weaker compared to Erathia. However, no matter how thin, it was still a world barrier and not something easily torn apart by Muria.

To the world, Muria was a massive foreign entity, a "supervirus" that absolutely couldn't be allowed inside. Thus, Muria could only enter through violent means. Normally, the world had no consciousness and could only defend passively, so its barrier was a defense that could be broken with time, though it required significant power.

When Muria tried punching the world barrier from outside and only saw a few energy ripples, he had a bold idea: he tossed Indira up to gnaw at the barrier. Since she could devour even the light emitted by the Nine Shepherds God, the world barrier, theoretically a crystallized energy layer intertwined with world consciousness and rules, should be within her range of consumption.

And so, here they were. Indira, living up to expectations, directly gnawed a hole in the world barrier, allowing Muria to descend.

Out of habit, upon sensing the wind elements, Muria instinctively tried to use his wind control authority. However, due to the differences between worlds and the world's instinctive suppression, he lost control of his body for a moment, falling to the ground and causing a minor earthquake.

"If the world had consciousness, it would be infuriated. It temporarily suppressed my power, yet it's not me who got hurt," Muria remarked with some malice, surveying the magma lake created by his impact, the collapsed mountains, the fallen forests, and the cracked ground.

After his close encounter with this world's land, Muria felt no discomfort. Compared to his powerful physique, the ground was too soft.

"Wait, I shouldn't damage the environment!" Muria emerged from the magma lake. After some thought, he absorbed all the fire elements in the lake, turning it into solid volcanic rock.

"However, there's nothing I can do about the rest." Muria looked at the collapsed mountains, the tilting trees, and the cracked ground, shaking his head helplessly. He controlled destructive forces,

"Relative to the world, this level of damage shouldn't matter. It probably won't alarm the world's consciousness!"

Muria extended his mental power and found that aside from the disaster area caused by his fall, the rest of the world was still normal. However, several settlements of intelligent beings near his crash site were in a miserable state.

"Is this the race capable of interdimensional colonization? They're so weak." Muria was surprised. According to the intel, this was a supernatural intelligent race that had unified their world and conquered seven surrounding small worlds, yet their individuals couldn't even withstand such a minor tremor without casualties.

"A humanoid intelligent race similar to humans? The lower classes are pathetically weak, but the elites possess tremendous power. How interesting."

Muria mused without a hint of sympathy. These interdimensional colonizers resembled upright humanoid insects, with triangular heads and dense compound eyes, and segmented limbs.

Their mere appearance made Muria dislike the locust people. Combined with their invader status, he felt only aversion. Even their miserable state didn't evoke any sympathy.

"Hey!" Muria turned his head slightly toward a collapsed mountain. "Stop arguing and come out! I have no connection with the locust people; I come from the void!"

His soul wave, oppressive to weaker beings, spread out, silencing a group of beautiful creatures hiding in the mountain cave, leaving them looking at each other in bewilderment.

"Let's go out! Our arguments are meaningless now; this god has already noticed us," said a slender white moth woman with obvious female characteristics, somewhat helplessly.

"But..."

"No buts. Regardless of his attitude towards us, we can only endure it. We have no right to resist or choose." With that, the female moth stepped out of the cave.

"Let's go. Maybe this void god can help us drive away that evil god and reclaim our world."

"But why would he help us? He has already destroyed so much just by appearing."

With hope for the future and lingering fear and doubt, the moth people stepped out of the cave into Muria's view. Then, following their leader's example, they knelt before Muria. Any intelligent being knew how to face someone who could destroy them at any moment.

"What are you? The original inhabitants of this world?" Muria examined the graceful white moth people before him. During his scan, he had noticed many such beautiful creatures in the locust cities, but they were in a dire situation, likely as slaves.

These creatures before him were clearly different from their counterparts in the cities. Besides their unyielding spirit and intelligence, various elements were slowly merging into their bodies, so slowly that they themselves couldn't notice it. This phenomenon typically occurred in high-level beings like dragons, who could grow stronger just by sleeping.

However, these human-like creatures with excessively white skin, wings on their backs, and antennae on their foreheads couldn't be compared to dragons in terms of life level.

Thus, they might be favored by the world or represent the world's self-resistance. But this resistance was too weak, like a symbolic struggle, almost useless.
