Bara stood still, his body glowing with raw energy as the ground beneath him cracked. The air distorted from the overwhelming pressure. A city-wide tremor rippled out as he began to charge a terrifying amount of energy. Buildings shook. Alarms blared. Panic erupted.
"Alex, get back!" Deo barked, stepping forward. His limbs shifted, transforming into advanced robotic constructs. Green energy surged around him like a storm.
Alex took a step back, eyes wide. "Wow! You've gotten crazy too Deo"
Before another word could be said, Bara blasted forward with insane speed—and Deo met him head-on.
The two collided with force that shook the ground. Each punch, each clash, echoed like thunder, leveling buildings in their wake. Blurs of motion and explosions of debris filled the city as the two tore across it with godlike speed. While they were fighting, Deo muttered to himself "Shit! The property damage is too much, and the team leaders aren't around to help take down the invaders. Shit!!"
Bara launched a volley of energy beams mid-combat, trying to gain the upper hand. Deo twisted and dodged expertly, avoiding the blasts by mere inches. Then, with a fierce punch, Deo sent Bara crashing through a line of buildings.
But Bara was relentless.
Mid-crash, he stabilized himself and unleashed a barrage of missiles, all aimed at Deo. In response, Deo launched himself into the air to evade—but Bara was already there, waiting above. Deo was stunned "Huh?", Bara had a smirk on his face "Got you!"
With a brutal strike, Bara hammered Deo down into a skyscraper, shattering it completely.
"Deo!!" Alex shouted, eyes filled with panic.
Deo groaned, trying to push himself up from the rubble. But as he looked up, he saw Bara descending, his fist wrapped in pure energy.
With a quick burst of motion, Deo rolled aside—just in time. Bara's punch slammed into the earth, causing a shockwave so powerful it rippled across the entire city.
"You're strong," Bara admitted coldly. "But I'm not here for you. I came for the demon kid. I wanna kill him foe what he did too me back then." Deo muttered to himself with a smirk "So this was the mad scientist we were to kill back then. I wonder what he'll do if he realized I'm the one who took down most of his robots and his security."
Green energy flickered around Deo, fading fast. He was running low. "Damn. I'm running low on power."
But he grinned "But I don't care! I'll just make sure I finish this guy fast."
In an instant, Deo teleported above Bara and came crashing down, a concentrated green beam swirling around his arm "Die you fuck!", he exclaimed out. He blasted it point-blank. This caused an insane explosion of energy.
Smoke and light filled the air.
But when it cleared—Bara was standing there, completely unharmed, gripping Deo's arm.
"Nice try," he smirked.
Deo narrowed his eyes. "Gotcha."
Suddenly—ZING—a blue beam shot toward them like a streak of light.
Alex had reappeared out of nowhere, hurling his new weapon: Blade of death:Star Blade, a radiant, blue weapon infused with light-speed energy.
Deo immediately broke free and moved away. The blade struck Bara with a blinding explosion that shook the entire city. Alex landed on his two feet "That odd to kill em!", he said with a confident smirk and voice.
"That attack…" Deo muttered, stunned. "It could've wiped out half the city..."
As the smoke settled—Bara walked out of it. Unharmed. "HAHAHHA! NICE! VERY NICE! YOU AMAZE ME BOY. YOU BOTH ARE COOL."
Alex and Deo stared in disbelief while Bara walked our of the smoke clapping his hands.
"H-How…?" Deo whispered. "No one under B-rank should survive that. I calculated the amount of energy Alex just shot out. This Bara bastard shouldn't have been strong enough to tank it. Has he been holding back?"
Bara chuckled. "That was unexpected. Been a while since I had this much fun. You're making me happy. You know?"
"Shut the hell up!" Alex snapped. Enraged, he rushed in with the Star Blade once again. "This guy... HE'S GOTTA GO!!"
But Bara casually slapped the blade away and fired a devastating energy beam at him. Alex was stunned with the way his attack was slapped away and how he was blasted with a huge wave of energy. The blast wiped out countless blocks and launched Alex through the air like a ragdoll.
He crashed hard with blood gushing from his mouth.
Eyes turned white, unconscious.
Deo rushed to help him "ALEX!!"—but was intercepted by a brutal punch from Bara that sent him flying across several buildings. Deo landed got knocked out in an instant.
Bara walked up to the fallen Alex. "You're lucky we need you alive. Otherwise, I'd have killed you right here. The only reason you beat me last time... is because I was too weak to fight. But now? I have more strength than I actually hoped for."
His robotic arm morphed into a blaster, charging up an attack that would have killed Alex.
"Well i can't kill you. That doesn't mean I can't maim you."
Just as he aimed—
CRACK!
A bolt of purple lightning sliced through the sky, severing Bara's robotic arm clean off.
"AGHHH!!" Bara screamed in shock.
Then—BOOM!
A massive lightning arrow descended, blasting him with overwhelming force.
Smoke and fire consumed the area.
Alex slowly opened his eyes, barely conscious.
He saw a figure standing tall in the smoke—Kazuki, wearing a tattered short sleeve purple cloak, gloves crackling with residual lightning.
Kazuki turned slightly. "You okay, Alex?"
Alex tried to speak. "Ka…zu…"
Suddenly, a flurry of giant energy beams struck Kazuki from all directions.
Bara emerged from the smoke, furious. "I don't know who you are… but you're dead."
But as the smoke cleared, Kazuki stood still, completely unharmed. The beams hadn't even touched him.
He stepped forward, calm.
Bara kept firing, panicked. "Why... aren't you getting hit?!", he asked himself
Kazuki replied coolly, "Because your attacks don't matter."
He summoned his Purple Flame Sword and gently tapped the ground. A glowing circle formed beneath Bara—and erupted.
Pillars of purple fire engulfed Bara in an inferno of flame.
"GRAAAAHHH!! WHAT....WHAT IS THIS?!" Bara screamed in agony.
Kazuki walked toward him. "My Spiritual Mark creates a force field that negates all attacks. It also grants me control over fire and lightning—and lets me react to anything slower than light."
As Bara writhed in the fire, Kazuki's tone darkened.
"You made the mistake of laying hands on Alex and Deo. And for that.....—I'll kill you, that's if you hurt anything or anyone i cherish!"
The flames faded.
Bara, burned and broken, collapsed to the ground.
A swirling portal opened beneath him, swallowing him whole. Kazuki got annoyed "Tch! He got away."
Kazuki turned to Alex, still unconscious. Gently, he lifted him. He walked towards Deo who was unconscious, created a force field around Deo to heal him. "Alright, you should be good now Deo."
Without a word, Kazuki disappeared in a flash of purple, taking Alex to the nearest hospital.
