"Who has summoned the meeting of the council?" Amden asked after moments of silence.
"This is most surprising part for us," Rexon replied. "It is the president of the federation who has summoned the meeting."
Amden was a bit surprised hearing this and the frown on his face deepened. His mind soon wandered to Alexa White and her grandfather Richard White, the president of the Eastern Council Federation. He could not see any reason for Richard White to target the Vantistart family Both of the families were located on almost two opposite ends of the continent and they hardly have had any contact or friction.
He also remembered what Alexa had asked him to do. He wondered how Richard would react when he learned that he was the partner Alexa had chosen for herself. Now that Richard had taken a position against the Vantistart, he was slightly amused thinking about the consequences of his relationship with Alexa, even if all of it was acting.
