"Compared to what Charlotte has suffered, this is letting you off easy! Sadly, still no tears from someone, truly a cold-blooded creature," Mrs. Turner said righteously.
Mr. Turner pulled at her, signaling her to restrain herself.
Kevin Cliff raised an eyebrow and said to his son bouncing around the room, "Ethan, Grandma is thirsty, go pour her a cup of tea." Then he walked into the house.
Mrs. Turner froze again, "Did he... What did he just say? Did he call me 'Grandma' to Ethan?"
"Congratulations, you might gain an extra half a son," Mr. Turner patted his partner's shoulder, supporting her as they both entered the house.
If Charlotte was their daughter, of course, Kevin Cliff would be their son-in-law, which naturally made him half a son.
Inside, facing the Turners, Kevin Cliff was still his usual stern self, but he personally poured tea for them and thanked them for taking care of his wife and child.
