[Jason]

Lying down, I watch the stars twinkling in the night sky. To my right is Artoria, her armor warm to the touch but comforting in a way that only a mamono mana could explain. On the other side is Zyss, now a gremlin, her small and warm body pressed against mine. Both sleep deeply, a satisfied smile on their faces.

I close my eyes, breathing deeply. The night is calm, but my mind is not. I need to review what I gained tonight.

<>

LEVEL UP! X3

<>

Three levels makes sense, since I slept with a new type of monster girl and at least 10 times with each of them.

<>

Gremlin

Attribute Bonus = +2 INTELLIGENCE / +1 LUCK / +1 AGILITY

Know it all = Instinctively knows how any magical or technological item works.

Sex Toy Proficient = Knows how to use any sex toy he wields in the best way possible.

Inventor

Attribute Bonus = +3 INTELLIGENCE / +2 LUCK / +1 AGILITY

Master Breaker = Ignores resistance of constructs and objects and deals double damage against them.

<>

The INT and Luck bonuses aren't the most useful right now, but extra points are always welcome. As for the 'Know it all' skill, it might be useful in the future, while Master Breaker will probably come in handy when we explore the dungeon tomorrow.

<>

Armiger:

Attribute Bonus = +4 VITALITY +2 STRENGTH

Mate Armor = VITALITY and STRENGTH double when you are wearing your living armor.

<>

Artoria's attribute bonuses are more combat-oriented, but what catches my attention is 'Mate Armor.'

'My vitality and strength double when I… wear Artoria?' Confused, I stare at Artoria. 'What does it mean, "wear" Artoria?' I wonder internally. 'She's a Living Armor, yes, but how does it work?'

A lot of questions flood my mind, and for a moment, I consider waking her up.

'I need answers, and she's the only one who can provide them.'

But then, I look at her serene face. She sleeps peacefully, a soft smile on her lips. Waking her up now would be selfish. Besides, tomorrow we'll have plenty of time to talk. I breathe deeply, deciding to wait.

I lie down again, closing my eyes. Sleep comes quickly, but the questions continue to echo in my mind.

'How does this skill work? What does it really mean to "wear" Artoria?'

[Clarabella]

I place the last heavy jug of milk on Tyss's cart, my arms already tired from the task. The goblin whistles, impressed.

"Wow! You're not messing around, are you, Clarabella?" Tyss comments, impressed. "How did you more than triple your production?"

An embarrassed giggle escapes my lips as I turn my blushing face away.

"Oh, I see." Tyss winks mischievously. "Someone's been having fun in the barn, huh?"

My mouth opens to respond, but Tyss is already laughing, her eyes shining with curiosity.

The goblin tilts her head, her eyes half-closed staring at me as she thinks.

"Let's see... who could it be?" The goblin asks herself. "The few men left in the village don't like mamonos. Or at least, they pretend not to like it so they don't get judged by their neighbors and wives." She pauses, rubbing her chin as she puts this mental puzzle together. "At least the ones who aren't too old to handle it," the Goblin mutters.

Tired, I let out a sigh of relief as Tyss continues to speculate, never getting anywhere near the truth.

My time with Jason was special, but I don't want his reputation tarnished because of an old needy Holstaur like me. Besides, he has a bright future ahead of him, and I don't want to be a hindrance to him.

"Well, Tyss, sometimes a girl just needs a little no-strings-attached fun to get her best." I wink, trying to show how unbothered I am.

But unfortunately, Tyss snaps her fingers, her eyes wide with surprise and a mischievous smile on her face.

"You had sex with Jason, didn't you?"

"W-What?" I stutter stunned.

My mouth drops open, shock leaving me speechless, but quickly I find my words to question the goblin.

"Tyss!" I say angrily, the frustration evident in my voice. "How did you...?"

Tyss throws her head back, laughing loudly, triumphantly.

"I just guessed, Clarabella!" She confesses between laughs. "But you just confirmed that the boy put you in the pen and took you for a ride!" Tyss laughs, her hands on her stomach as she doubles over in laughter.

"Oh! And what a ride it was..." I murmured, salivating slightly as I remembered the night.

But unfortunately I am brought out of my memories by the laughing goblin in front of me. I cross my arms, frustration bubbling inside me.

"Tyss, that's enough!" I say, my voice firm, but I can't hide a smile.

Her laugh is contagious, even when I'm the butt of the joke. She tries to compose herself, but fails miserably, another wave of laughter taking over her.

"Sorry, Clarabella!" She finally manages to say, wiping tears from her eyes.

Tyss approaches, the smile still on her face, but now with a hint of seriousness.

"Well, Clarabella, now that you and Jason... had your rodeo." She makes a vulgar gesture with her hands, and I roll my eyes again. "That makes us sisters, in a way. I mean, he fucked me, you, and my two sisters too."

Once again my jaw drops, as my eyes wide with surprise.

"Jason had relationships with so many mamonos?" I mumble in shock. "I knew he was special, but this..."

Tyss, still laughing, continues:

"You should have seen it, Clarabella. He took us, one by one for days until the last day, when he took us all together." I feel a heat rise inside me just thinking about the situation. "It was pretty intense," the Goblin commented in a more serious tone. "He fucked us until we were unconscious. I woke up the next day, all sore, but also... so happy and satisfied."

Her story makes a hot blush creep up my neck, spreading across my cheeks as I imagine the scene Tyss described. My breathing quickens, my heart pounding in my chest. The idea of being in that situation, of being taken by Jason like that, makes me dizzy with desire.

"You know, Tyss, maybe I should charge Jason an extra night for the information I gave him about the dungeon." I murmur, my voice laden with desire.

Tyss opens her mouth, a mischievous glint in her eyes, no doubt ready to crack another joke. But the words die on her lips when something in the distance seens catches her attention. She narrows her eyes, her head tilted as she observes the road that winds to the horizon.

"Tyss? What is it?" I ask, curiosity pushing me to follow her gaze.

In the distance, I see it. A cloud of dust rising, accompanied by a rhythmic, constant marching sound.

"Is that... an army?" I murmur, shock evident in my voice.

Tyss nods, her face pale.

"By the sound of boots and the cloud of dust, yes. And it's heading towards the village."

"Who could it be?" I murmur, confusion evident in my voice. "It's been less than a month since the Order of the Chief God left the city. It's too soon for them to return."

Tyss, always practical, was already in action. She jumps onto the cart, rummaging through a wooden box until she finds what she's looking for: a brass spyglass.

With an agile leap, she hops off the cart and runs to the fence that marks the edge of my property. The goblin rests the spyglass on the wooden post, adjusting the focus with quick hands. Her eyes narrow as she watches the approaching dust cloud.

"Tyss, what do you see?" I ask, the anxiety building inside me.

She doesn't respond immediately, her eyes fixed on the spyglass. Her body tense, her breathing quick. Finally, after what feels like an eternity, she lowers the spyglass and turns to me, her face pale.

"It's not the Order of the Chief God, Clarabella." Her voice is a whisper, heavy with concern. "In fact... it's the opposite of them."

"The opposite?"

[Jason]

Our morning walk was quick, but when we reached the dungeon site, we stopped abruptly due to a huge problem.

'Emphasis on huge.' I think, frustrated.

Before us, is a massive boulder blocking the entrance to the underground dungeon. The rock is enormous, nearly the size of a house, its surface rough and covered in moss.

Artoria approaches the boulder and examines it carefully. Her hand, covered by a metal glove, touches the rough surface as she analyzes it.

"With a few well-placed punches, I could probably break it."

Worried, I step forward placing myself between the knight and the rock.

"And the tunnel?" I ask, stopping her. "Can you do this without causing it to collapse?"

Artoria freezes for a moment, thinking about my question.

"No, my Lord. The tunnel's structure could be compromised," the knight replies formally. "By the way, I'm glad to see you showing maturity and cognitive abilities."

"Thanks," I respond sarcastically. "And maybe someday you'll praise me without needing to insult me first."

"Never lose hope, my Lord," Artoria responds with a smile.

Giving the knight a tired sigh I turn back to the rock.

"How are we going to solve this?" I complain aloud, running my hand through my hair. "We don't have the equipment to move this thing."

Artoria crosses her arms, the armor creaking with the movement.

"Maybe we can find another entrance, my Lord."

"We would take weeks or months exploring the surrounding forest for another entrance," I grumble, kicking a smaller stone on the ground.

Zyss, who has been silent until now, steps forward. Her green eyes shine with an idea.

"I have something that might be useful."

She takes off her backpack and starts rummaging through its contents taking out pieces of some sort of a toll. After a few seconds, she puts together strange pickaxe.

The tool is a mass of gears and springs, looking more like a steampunk weapon than something useful for mining.

"What is this?" I ask, curious.

"It's a special pickaxe I made myself. It uses the power of the springs and levers to amplify the impact," Zyss responds proudly. "I figured we'd need to break something in this dungeon, so I made it this morning."

"You made this this morning?" I ask, jaw dropping. "How did you manage to be so fast? The shield took days for you to finish!"

Zyss shrugs, her green eyes glowing with a mix of pride and shyness.

"I don't know, Jason. I just feel like it's easier to work with tools now that I'm a gremlin."

She extends the pickaxe, her green eyes glowing with a confidence I rarely see in her. I take the tool, feeling the weight of the gears and springs in my hands. The pickaxe is a mass of metal, but there's an elegance in the way each piece fits together.

I take a deep breath, gripping the pickaxe tightly. I step forward, positioning myself in front of the enormous stone. Artoria watches in silence, her arms crossed over her armor.

"Here we go," I murmur to myself, raising the pickaxe above my head.

With a swift movement, I spin my body, using all my weight to drive the pickaxe down.

THUNK!

The metal collides with the rock, the impact reverberating through the air. I feel the vibration rise through my arms, but the pickaxe doesn't ricochet. Instead, its inside gears spin, amplifying the force of the blow.

KABOOM!

The stone cracks, a deafening sound echoing through the forest. Chunks of rock fly in all directions, forcing Artoria and Zyss to shield themselves with their arms.

I watch, dumbfounded, as the massive rock practically explodes before my eyes. When the dust settles, a dark opening is revealed, the entrance to the dungeon finally accessible.

With my chin dropped I turn to Zyss, the pickaxe still vibrating in my hands.

"How did you do that?" I ask, my voice full of awe. "This thing is insanely powerful!"

Zyss shakes her head, her green eyes wide.

"It wasn't just me. The pickaxe isn't that strong; it was probably you."

I furrow my brow, confused.

"Me? But I just made a regular strike."

Artoria, who has been silent until now, steps forward. Her armor creaks with the movement, and she looks at the pickaxe in my hands.

"Maybe it was a combination of both," the knight suggests.

Immediately, I remembered one of my new abilities.

<>

Master Breaker = Ignore resistance of constructs and objects and deals double damage against them.

<>

"Hehe! Combo." I laugh to myself, as Zyss and Artoria don't have the context to understand they just stared confused.

Catching my attention, Artoria approaches, her armor creaking with the movement.

"Let's go, my Lord." Says the knight, her voice formal. "The dungeon awaits us."

I take a deep breath, grab the shield and strap it to my left arm.

With a swift motion, I grip the pickaxe wielding it like a weapon, feeling the weight of gears and springs in my hands.

"Now this pickaxe is the most powerful item I have." I say with a smile on my face.

Zyss blushes and lets out an embarrassed giggle as we descend toward our destination.

[Beast]

Darkness is not a problem since my eye glows with the flame of my hatred, illuminating the dark chamber with a faint red hue.

In front of me is the one who transformed me, the witch that reeks of corpses. At the moment, rays of purple and green energy flow from her hand, directed to a large stone coffin.

"How long do I have to wait?" I growl impatiently. "Let me smash this damn coffin. I want to go after the human who took my eye."

The corpse witch with magical powers responds without taking her eyes off the coffin.

"Patience, Beast."

"Patience?" I snap back, rage making my voice tremble. "I've waited long enough. I want my revenge NOW!"

She finally looks at me, her eyes glowing with a supernatural green light.

"Silence, you filthy animal!" She roars in a guttural magical tone that makes the cavern walls tremble.

I try to take a step back, but the witch paralyzes me by pointing her glowing green hand in my direction.

"The ritual I'm performing prevents contamination by the rotten mana of this era and also protects the content of the coffin from being destroyed when we force it open." She explains in a neutral tone. "You are a tool, a thing to be used. Be a nuisance once again, and you will be discarded."

Green glow from the witch's hand intensifies and my throat begins to be strangled by an invisible hand, punctuating her threat.

The humiliation burns within me, a fire as intense as the hatred that consumes me. I lower my head, avoiding the witch's piercing gaze. Every fiber of my being screams to attack, to rip out her throat and end this farce.

'But I can't… I'm weak.'

"I-I understand…" I whisper, choking, but the grip only tightens. "Mi-Mistress!" I'm released the moment I submit to her authority.

On my knees with my head down, I drown in humiliation and bitterness. Until my ears perk up. I hear something in the distance, just beyond the door to the chamber where the witch and I are.

"What the…" I hesitate, still feeling pain from the invisible pressure around my throat. "Do you hear that on the other side of the door?"

Still focused on the ritual, the Witch doesn't even blink. The green glow in her eyes intensifies, and a sinister smile forms on her withered lips.

"It doesn't matter, Beast. The ritual is almost complete. No one can disable the magical protections I placed to seal the door-." Says the witch, until she is cut off by an explosion.

KABOOM!

The wall next to the door explodes inward into the room.

"I can't stop the ritual now!" The witch exclaims. "Kill the intruders."

I bare a feral smile at the opportunity to test my new body, but before the dust settles I hear voices arguing with each other.

"Told you, Artoria." Says an annoying familiar male voice. "The door was protected, but the wall beside it wasn't."

"I never doubted you, my Lord." Complains a female voice. "I just said that it might not be wise to destroy the foundations of an underground dungeon and you needed to be more cautious."

The breeze entering through the opening in the wall carries a familiar scent. My fur bristles, and a low growl escapes my throat.

"It's him." I growl as the flames in my eyes intensify. "My chance for revenge came sooner than I expected."

It's the same one who blinded me, who humiliated me. Rage boils within me, but there's also an unfamiliar sense of joy for the male presence.

[Jason]

THUNK!

With a strike of the pickaxe, the wall gives way, exploding backward.

KABOOM!

"Told you, Artoria." I say in an arrogant tone. "The door was protected, but the wall beside it wasn't."

"I never doubted you, my Lord." Complains the knight at my side, within the cloud of dust with me and Zyss. "I just said that it might not be wise to destroy the foundations of an underground dungeon and you needed to be more cautious."

I shrug as a breeze from the dungeon entrance blows away the dust cloud, revealing a dark chamber with a large stone sarcophagus at the back. Dim light highlights a hooded figure resembling a typical magic user, casting clouds of purple and green energy over the sarcophagus.

Years of RPG experience tell me that is a necromancer, and she needs to be stopped.

But before I can take a step forward, a massive shadow with flaming eye stands between us.

Instinctively, I raise my shield to receive any blow.

"Not this time!" Growled the creature, attacking me.

POW!

The impact is devastating.

The shield shatters, pieces of wood flying in all directions. The force of the blow hurls me backward, as I fall hard against the stone floor on my back.

"JASON!" Zyss shouts, crouching beside me.

A deep cut marks my arm where my shield used to be, blood running hot from it.

The pain is intense, but adrenaline keeps me alert. I look up, and the creature smiles at me, its flaming eye fixed on mine.

"Filthy beast!" Shouts Artoria, placing herself between me and the creature. Her armor glows with a bluish light, reflecting the determination in her eyes. "You will not lay a finger on my Lord!"

With the glow of Artoria's armor, the chamber lights up, revealing the creature that attacked me.

A mamono with dark skin, wolf-like features, and flaming eyes. She's growling and drooling in my direction, her muscles tense, ready for another attack.

"Oh no." I murmur as the blood in my veins turns cold and sweat runs down my neck. "She's so hot."
