The uniformed girl finally turned around.
Moonlight filtered through the branches high above, landing on the snow and reflecting onto the girl's face, making it appear unnaturally pale.
But other than that, there was nothing unusual. It was a perfectly normal face, its soft features even radiating a touch of warmth.
"Why?"
The uniformed girl finally spoke.
Her voice sounded like an interrogation, though the target of her inquiry wasn't Nachi Akimichi, but rather the snarling cats.
"Why...why are you doing this?"
The uniformed girl stared blankly in the direction of the cats. Her voice turned plaintive, and dark crimson bloodstains began seeping from her deep blue uniform, blooming like violent flowers against the murky fabric, sharp and unsettling.
Soon after, her expression twisted into something monstrous. Her features contorted; her eyes filled with blood, turning crimson, and the once-gentle curve of her brows shaped into a vicious, sharp arc.
"Meow–!"
