The secrets of heaven must not be divulged, for to disclose them invites divine punishment.
This is something many prophets often say.
But why can't the secrets of heaven be revealed? Who carries out divine punishment? None of the prophets have ever explained this point.
Shen Yue does not believe in divine punishment.
If the heavens were truly so efficient, the world would not be as it is now.
Laozi's words are closer to the truth of the universe—"Heaven and earth are unkind; they treat all things as straw dogs."
Morality and virtue are human constructs.
Heaven and earth were not created by humans, so ideas like kindness or cruelty do not apply to them. Everything is merely humanity's self-indulgent sentimentality. Since the opening of space, the myriad beings within it have played freely, untouched by heaven or earth.
Yet in the Boundless Cage, history clearly bears traces of human interference.
