I can't fathom the strangeness of standing next to Nathanael after… Well, my strange encounter with Lucian this morning.
They're about the same height and somewhat dress similarly, so by looking down or to the side I may confuse the two of them.
Although they don't particularly use the same perfume, they do share that weird hint that my nose distinguishes every time I am in the presence of a wolf shifter. It's quite faint, but it's there. On Nathanael, on Ava, on Kamaria, Lucian… All of them, really.
With that, I am also realizing that my most recent words weren't all that sensitive, considering the situation here.
"Right then, now, I'd like to bring your attention to this wound on her chest," the man in a lab coat that I don't recognize speaks up.
Quite short and balding, his monotonous speech sort of reminds me of Dale, but besides that they bear no other physical resemblance which is a relief for sure.
"Is that a stab wound?" Nathanael asks.
