Chapter 449 - Then I’ll clear the sky.

Blake chuckled, lifting the teacup from Newt's hands. "Mr. Scamander, you're too considerate. Knowing we'd be thirsty after the fight, you even made tea for us."

Newt watched, his expression aggrieved, as Blake handed the cup to Dumbledore. "Okay... at least I'm not so useless that I can't even make tea for you."

Dumbledore took the tea with an amused smile while Blake turned back to their work. The plan was simple: Blake would tame the magical creatures in the Colosseum while Newt secured them in his suitcase. Dumbledore, meanwhile, kept the unconscious poachers under control.

Through Blake's dimensional gate, they transported the captured dark wizards back to England. Moody was already waiting with a group of Aurors. In the wizarding world, repatriation was uncommon—criminals were usually jailed where they were caught, unless it involved someone like Grindelwald or negotiations between ministries. But in this case, with Blake's gate, they bypassed the Danish Ministry of Magic entirely. The dark wizards, their crimes undeniable, were sent straight to Azkaban without interrogation.

Once Blake finished taming the creatures, Newt left with his suitcase full of rescued magical beasts. Before departing, he accepted a few bottles of nourishing potions from Blake to help with his exhaustion. "I'll write to my son to come back and help," he assured them. "Don't worry too much."

Blake, now finished with the rescue, turned his attention to Moody. The grizzled Auror, now fully restored with healthy limbs, looked much more energetic. Tonks, standing beside him, sighed in exasperation—clearly, keeping up with the reinvigorated Moody was no easy task.

Blake noted that while Moody's limbs and eye had been restored, the scars on his face remained. His limb regeneration spell hadn't healed those, but he knew his upcoming curse-removing potion would solve that problem.

Curious, Dumbledore finally asked, "Since you have a portal that can take you anywhere, why are you still in Denmark? Planning to stay a few more days?" His knowing smile hinted that he already suspected the answer.

Blake grinned. "Professor, you know Hogwarts' curriculum isn't enough for me."

Dumbledore sighed, shaking his head. "Even so, staying out too long isn't ideal."

"There's a saying, Professor—better to travel a thousand miles than read a thousand books. Who's to say I'm playing rather than studying?"

Dumbledore chuckled. "You always have your tricks, don't you? Fine, travel if you must… just avoid Nurmengard."

After Dumbledore left, Blake reopened the dimensional door and retrieved Luna and Nagini, who had been resting in a nearby room. Luna looked around, confused. "Is it over? The poachers are gone?"

"Yep," Blake said. "Handed them over to the Aurors. They should be in Azkaban by now."

Luna nodded, then asked, "Where were we resting? I was too afraid to check."

Blake smirked. "Back at Hogwarts."

Luna and Nagini exchanged glances. "That's weird," Luna mused. "We spent two days getting here, and then we just… ended up back at the start to rest?"

With no more immediate concerns, Blake set up camp again, preparing a hearty dinner before they all went to sleep. The night passed peacefully.

At dawn, the three of them woke up, but Blake told Luna and Nagini there was no need to prepare breakfast—they would do so on the move.

Luna tilted her head. "On the back of a fire dragon?" she asked, imagining a meal mid-flight. "Seems difficult."

"Not difficult at all," Blake said. "Actually, it'll be fun."

Nagini crossed her arms. "Then how are we traveling? By car?"

Blake smirked and reached into his bag, pulling out a long, rolled-up object.

Luna leaned in. "What's that?"

"You were born in England, so it's normal you haven't seen this before," Blake explained. "Because in the UK, this thing is illegal."

Luna's eyes widened. "Like raising dragons?"

Blake threw the roll into the air, and with a "hula!" sound, it unfurled into a massive, dark-red carpet, hovering in midair.

Luna gasped. "A flying carpet!"

Blake grinned. "That's right." He continued, "In the UK, the Muggle Protection Act bans enchanting Muggle items, so making a flying carpet is illegal. But…" He spread his arms. "We're not in England, are we?"

Luna and Nagini stepped onto the floating carpet. Luna tested the surface. "You can really make breakfast up here?"

"Exactly. We're in Denmark, right next to Sweden. Not far from our destination. We can take the flying carpet and travel at a steady pace. We won't even need to set up camp—we can sleep in the sky, protected by magic."

Luna and Nagini, intrigued, climbed aboard.

"Can you actually control this thing?" Luna asked.

"Of course." Blake sat down, adjusting a small circular mechanism at the carpet's edge. "Let's see… height first, then direction, then…"

Before he could finish, the carpet lifted off the ground.

"Aha! Just like a hot air balloon." Blake pulled out his wand and cast a series of spells: an invisibility charm to hide them from Muggles and wizards, a wind-blocking spell, and a warming charm. The carpet instantly became a comfortable, floating haven.

Luna lay on her stomach, peering over the edge as the ground shrank below them. "If we camp in the sky tonight, will I be able to see the stars as soon as I lie down?"

Blake nodded. "Yes."

Luna's face lit up. "What if it's cloudy?"

"Then I'll clear the sky."
