Vlad once more lowered his head, this time not acting, but out of pure sincerity from his heart.
Mother Scarlet remained in silence for a good moment but then smiled as she noticed one of the children, a little, cute werewolf girl with green fur, walking to her side.
"Mother Scarlet… What's wrong?"
"…Nothing, dear. Don't worry about anything; everything will be okay."
She gently caressed the girl's fluffy head and her adorable ears as she faced Vlad, moving her face towards him. Although she could not see with her eyes, she could see with her Arcana Aura.
"Please raise your head, Your Majesty," Mother Scarlet said. "I understand."
"S-So…?!" Vlad asked.
"I will join the battle to defend this city…" Mother Scarlet nodded. "But… I have a condition."
"A condition?" Vlad asked. "Yes, anything!"
Vlad began thinking she was going to ask for something grand, perhaps help her defeat the barbarians one day, or even help her rebuild her kingdom.
But…
"I would like to be paid…" Mother Scarlet muttered, blushing slightly as she started fidgeting. "And could I get half of the payment in advance, please? We're really running low on funds and…"
"Eh…?" Vlad's eyebrows twitched lightly. "Is that all? I thought you were going to ask me something unreasonable…"
"Unreasonable? Why?" Mother Scarlet asked. "Wait, isn't giving money already a big deal, your Majesty?"
"Ah… No, how much money do you need? I was already planning on investing in this Orphanage either way," Vlad said. "Perhaps to move the orphanage near my property as well…"
"I'm only asking for 50,000 Credits a month… T-That would be more than enough to feed the children—you said moving our Orphanage near your property?!" Mother Scarlet gasped. "Oh my! Is that true?!"
"Only fifty thousand shouldn't even be a problem for my wallet; consider it done," nodded Vlad, taking out a big bag of Credit Coins. "Here's the full payment in advance, Scarlet."
"EEH?!"
The other Nuns gasped as they saw Prince Vlad bring out the giant bag of money and give it to Mother Scarlet like nothing! They were used to scraping by every month, with barely any pennies in their pockets… Seeing this was just truly shocking.
"Is it not enough? I was thinking of doubling it…" Vlad said. "Hm, I should do—"
"N-No! Please, you're far too kind, your Majesty!" cried Mother Scarlet. "T-This is more than enough; please don't give us any anymore, or we'll feel bad!"
Despite saying that, she was hugging the bag of money with her big, muscular arms as if she were hugging a baby.
"At the end, anywhere you go, money still moves the world, huh?"
"Now then, let's do a Binding Blood Vow first, to seal the deal and create a contract of mutual benefit," Vlad asked, cutting his hand slightly as blood poured from it and offering it to Mother Scarlet.
"Ah… Yes… Thank you!" Mother Scarlet nodded, extending her giant hand.
FLASH!
And as the ritual was finished, a bond between the two was formed, a vow created by phantasmal, crimson chains made of ethereal blood energy.
"Now that we're done with that, Mother Scarlet, I will proceed to turn you into my third vassal," Vlad said.
"Third Vassal?" Mother Scarlet asked, confused.
"It is a Title I can give using the power of the System," the prince explained. "Once you obtain it, you will become even stronger, gain new abilities, and also make the entire city stronger as well. It is part of my miraculous powers as a Player."
"Incredible… Such a thing exists?" Landy wondered.
"A Vassal? Wait, wouldn't Mother Scarlet become nobility then?" Oblivia muttered.
"I can't believe this! Wait, isn't this a marriage proposal then?!" Bloodilia asked.
"Prince Vlad, are you implying you want to marry Mother Scarlet?" Grayshade was shocked.
"Your Majesty…! But I am so old… Are you really okay with older women like me?" Mother Scarlet blushed, acting like a teenage girl for a moment.
"S-Stop it! That's not what I meant!" Vlad protested, his pale white skin turning red in embarrassment as he placed his hand over his face. "First the goblins and now the nuns… Unbelievable…"
"Listen, this is a special title; it has nothing to do with marriage," he sighed, composing himself to look more dignified. "Please do not misunderstand."
"A-Ah! We apologize!" Mother Scarlet nodded, although she seemed somewhat sad that it was a misunderstanding.
"Did she really want to marry me?" Vlad thought. "Huh, well, if I hadn't met Chris, I would've definitely hooked up with a chick from this game, I guess… But I prefer an IRL relationship to having one with in-game characters; that's too much… I'm glad Chris appeared, or I would have seriously fallen that low at some point, seeing how desperate I was…"
As he sorted out his thoughts and sighed in relief, he moved his hand, quickly selecting Mother Scarlet as his third vassal.
"Alright, it should be done by now…"

An explosion of crimson light engulfed Mother Scarlet completely, as this power began to rapidly strengthen her abilities and body.
"T-This power…! I have… It feels like I have grown younger, almost at my peak once more?!"
As Mother Scarlet saw her muscular body becoming more toned and slimmer, with more compact muscles and an even taller height, mostly due to her long legs, Vlad saw the notifications appear.
