It didn't take long for Ren and the two youngsters to be on the road that led to the distant borders.
If Fu Xian hadn't insisted on boarding the special space jet, Ren would've used a teleportation token from the system mall without hesitation.
"We can't do that in the open! That's against the law of the world. If you can wait until nightfall to operate, I've got no problem. I'll even help you to delete the security footage."
Those words forced Ren to purse his lips. He was not willing to wait even a minute longer, let alone hours.
Now, as he sat in his seat with Fu Xian and Kaizen occupying the seat behind him, his mind drifted off to some haze.
He was quietly staring at the window, or more likely, through the glass and at the passing trees encircling the tall buildings while the headache behind his temples throbbed with renewed force.
"Why don't you take a nap first?" Fu Xian suggested cautiously. "I'll wake you when we get near the landing pod."
