James, Rei, Yuriko, Lefi, Miia, Papi, Cera, Mero, Suu, and Rachnera were all gathered in the cozy living room. The group lounged on the couches and floor.
James looked around at the familiar faces, each one unique and pretty. He took a slow breath. He thought he had stayed here for a while. He knew the rules of travelling meant he would be back in one second however he wanted to go back, at least for now.
He stood up, drawing everyone's attention. "Everyone, I have something important to say," he said.
Rei smirked. "Let me guess, you're finally admitting you love us all," she teased.
A few chuckles rippled through the group.
James chuckled too. "That too," he said.
"Husband is so honest!" Papi chirped, flying up a little before settling down beside him.
Miia pouted playfully. "You found another one, darling? But I still love you," she said.
Cera crossed her arms with a confident grin. "You keep expanding your harem, master," she said.
"You are indeed a diligent and noble sir," Mero added. James thought he had not spent time with Mero. She was a beautiful purple mermaid. He was going to treat her well when they are back.
Suu wiggled with excitement, mimicking the others.
Lefi raised a hand regally. "Indeed, thou hast much charm, James," she said.
James smiled but raised a hand to bring the conversation back. "I appreciate all of you… truly. But the important thing is this. Rei, Yuriko, Lefi, and I… we're not actually from this world," he stated.
There was a pause.
"Not from this world?" Rachnera repeated slowly. She thought he was different. She looked at his wrist, there was an interesting watch.
"Wait… darling?" Miia blinked, her tail twitching.
"We talked about this before," Yuriko said, stepping in smoothly. "But it was brief," she added.
"It was high-level and vague," Cera added, nodding.
"Papi didn't understand at all," Papi said with a cheerful giggle. Suu echoed, as she raised her hands.
Miia sighed, placing a hand on her forehead. "That's… not really something to be happy about," she said.
"Well… we're from another universe," James began, standing near the center of the room as everyone watched him with wide eyes. "One that's not so different from this one, actually. Lefi comes from a world of magic and monsters," he added.
"'Tis true," Lefi said, stepping forward. "Mine realm teems with beasts and sorcery. It is ancient, perilous and powerful," she added.
James continued, "In that world, there's a dungeon and I'm bound to it. My life is connected to it. I'll die, if something happens to the core. But if monster girls like you are there with me, it can grow stronger. It can protect me. And I can protect you," he added.
The room fell quiet. The words sank in.
Miia's eyes widened in horror. "W-What Darling! No! You can't die! I won't let you!" she shouted.
Papi flapped her wings frantically, hovering just a few feet above the ground. "No no no! Papi's husband can't go away! No dying," she said.
Cera clenched her fists, stepping forward. Her hooves struck the floor with determination. "Then I'll go. I'll fight for you, Master. I'll defend your life with my blade," she said.
James gave her a small, grateful smile and nodded. "Thank you, Cera," he responded.
"I will help," Mero said.
Racherna took it all in. She thought she was not expecting this. She smiled.
He turned back to the rest. "And Rei and Yuriko… they're from another universe too. One overrun by the undead," he remarked.
"Like Zombina?" Miia asked nervously.
"Yes," James said. "But worse. Much worse," he stated.
Rei's expression darkened. "They weren't quirky or funny like her," she said. She thought back to her time when she was shooting with Zombina. She was cool. "They were monsters. They took my friends… my family… everyone I loved. Gone, eaten alive," she said.
The room was silent, stunned.
Yuriko looked down, her voice somber. "James saved us when everything looked hopeless. My husband… he died protecting me from a monster. James saved me from my end as well," she added. She smiled at him.
Miia, Papi, and even Rachnera looked shaken by the weight of it all.
James took a breath, steady and honest. "But we can come back here. This doesn't have to be goodbye. I want all of you to come with me. Not just to survive… but to live together, to make the dungeon ours, our home," he said. He looked around at each of them. "Will you?"he asked.
For a long moment, no one spoke.
Then Miia stepped forward and grabbed his hand. "Of course I will, Darling. I love you," she stated.
"Papi too!" Papi chirped, wrapping her wings around his shoulders.
"I shall go wherever my Master goes," Cera said proudly, placing a hand on her fake sword.
"We have someone who is also good at swords," Rei said.
"I'll come," Mero said gently, smiling through her usual melancholy. "A kingdom without my dear is no kingdom at all," she added.
Suu bubbled up beside him, nodding with enthusiasm.
Rachnera looked at him. "Tch. Guess I'll come along. Can't let a guy like you die," she said.
Rei and Yuriko both nodded.
James smiled as warmth filled his chest. "Then let's go. Together," he said.
"Right now? Darling?" Miia asked.
"Yes, let's go now," James responded. They all nodded.
"We need to touch James," Yuriko teased and winked at James.
"He likes being touched," Rachnera said as she moved over and pressed her chest onto his face from the back.
"Hey," Miia said as she rushed over and pushed James face onto her breasts.
"Girls," James said. The two pairs of breasts felt amazing.
They all gathered and held James. James reached into his pocket and pulled out the The Multiverse Remote. His thumb hovered over the button. "Let's go to our new home," James stated. They all nodded once more and James pressed the button. He entered the destination and pressed the green button.
A bright light engulfed them. James saw visions of different realities. He saw a zombie with yellow eyes attacking a group of women. He saw a woman with dog ears wearing a collar sitting in a room, looking sad once more. He also saw a woman with blue hair, wearing a white uniform freezing an entire town.
