After reuniting with Zamie and providing Ailbhe the corpse of one of the many monsters she had hunted on their way to Zoathaar, Will dropped down to the rainforest floor, where Tarka and his children were hard at work preparing stew and spitroasting a large, braised, hog-like monster known as a Rushboar.
Noticing Will's, Zamie's, Kluskah's, and Czares's arrival, Tarka smiled, passed off the tools he was using to butcher a large stag, and made his way over with his hands on his hips.
"The Rushboar is still a few hours off, but we have meat and mushroom stew, pork and cheese buns, and pan-seared spagaas," revealed Tarka, thumbing over his right shoulder at a make-shift prep station, tended to by Gora. Despite her size, she was evidently adept with a kitchen knife as she casually sliced a large mushroom into thin slices while holding it with the razor-sharp claws of her left hand.
