Hours later, Strax opened his eyes again, his body feeling as light as if he were floating between the still-warm sheets. There was a trace of perfume in the air - the scent of carmine and magic that Scarlet left wherever she went, mixed with Cassandra's sweet essence, still fresh on his skin. A lazy smile danced across his lips as he remembered the moments before... muffled touches, exchanged sighs, promises murmured between kisses and warmth.
The room was quieter now. The sun had already risen higher in the sky, tinging the room with a soft golden light. He noticed immediately: the space around him seemed emptier. The auras of the others had drifted away - they were awake, perhaps having breakfast... or just giving him space.
