Annie, one of the most visibly annoyed students, immediately crossed her arms and glared at Haruto. "Do you still dare to ask? You said you would train us at six in the morning! It's already six thirty!"
Haruto just shrugged casually. "Hey, I did say you should come at six. But isn't it common for people to be a little late for appointments? It's kind of... an old tradition?" Haruto said with an indifferent expression, as if being late was perfectly normal.
Annie stared at Haruto with a look that seemed capable of piercing his heart. "What tradition?! Ridiculous! There's no such tradition!"
Haruto shrugged again, appearing unaffected by Annie's outburst. "Well, it's a tradition for people who don't really care about meeting times. Sometimes a little lateness makes the atmosphere... um, more relaxed."
Annie glared at Haruto with sparkling eyes. She huffed in annoyance, while the other students shook their heads, holding back smiles at Haruto's complete lack of guilt.
"Hey, hey! Forget about those little details, let's all just go in." Haruto said casually, opening the training room door with a nonchalant expression.
Annie huffed in annoyance but stepped inside, followed by her six companions. After all, it was Annie who had begged Haruto to train them, so she held back her frustration for the sake of this training.
Once they were all inside, Haruto turned around, looking at them with sharp eyes and a now serious expression. "Now... run!" Haruto said in a low but commanding tone.
Oliv looked at Haruto in confusion. "What do you mean?"
Haruto sighed in annoyance and shouted, "I said... start running, damn it!"
Haruto's loud voice echoed throughout the training room, startling them all. With little choice, the seven students immediately began to run, though they were still confused.
"Run around the entire training room! No one is allowed to stop! If anyone stops, I'll add to your running time!" Haruto shouted again, his gaze merciless. The firmness in Haruto's voice made them panic even more, and without protest, they quickened their pace.
"Run faster, are you all snails?! I could even sleep while watching you run so slowly!" Haruto continued to shout as he walked along the track, watching them closely.
"Control your breathing! I told you, control your breath!" Haruto yelled again, his gaze fixed on Oliv, who was starting to pant. "Breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth! Create a breathing pattern! If your breathing is messed up, you'll collapse faster, got it?!"
Reluctantly, they tried to regulate their breathing as Haruto instructed, even though their chests felt tight and their legs were starting to weaken. Every time someone slowed down or stopped to catch their breath, Haruto extended their running time, without mercy.
"What was that?! Why did you stop, Oliv and Yuna? Is your body that weak? If you keep this up, I'll make you run even longer! Don't ever stop until I say so, got it?!"
Oliv and Yuna struggled to get back up, exerting all their strength even though their faces were starting to pale. Their breaths sounded heavy, and their eyes seemed to want to close, but Haruto's loud voice left them no choice but to keep running.
They all began to feel an overwhelming fatigue, their muscles felt like they were burning. Their breaths quickened, and some of them started to feel lightheaded and dizzy. However, their fear of Haruto, who continued to watch with sharp eyes and loud instructions, kept them from daring to slow down.
Out of the corner of his eye, Haruto observed them closely. He knew that this training was brutal, but he wanted to ensure that they understood one important thing: in battle, fatigue is not an excuse to stop.
