"Why must you force me? Fine, I'll tell you everything..." Jack sighed once more, looked at Lin Feng and Chu Meng, and spoke reluctantly. Things had progressed to the point where leaving was impossible. Now his only option was to explain everything to Chu Meng in hopes that she'll take him in. If Chu Meng were to shelter him, it might be his only chance of survival; no one else could protect him.
After sorting out his thoughts, he continued, "I made a mistake—a grave mistake. I never should have developed the RT Energy Box, and I absolutely shouldn't have gone to the Locke Group. But it's too late now; Pandora's Box has been opened. It's not bringing benefit to the world, but destruction."
His voice suddenly began to tremble, as if recalling a haunting, terrible loss, imbued with panic. Such catastrophic consequences had been beyond his imagination. If he had known, no matter what, he would never have created the Energy Box.
