"Watch your mouth. I am like this because of your ignorance. You caused all of this to happen to me. You need to cultivate and harness your powers if you ever want to become powerful, you mortal," his system cursed in anger, his final words laced with pure disgust.
"What can you even do for me then? My wife might already be in grave danger as it is," Shane snapped, his voice rising with fury.
To his surprise, he heard the system mutter something under its breath, something that sounded like, "She was always the cause of everything to begin with."
"I can guide you to find her. That is the highest extent my power can reach, the farthest I can stretch," the system said coldly, as if even uttering the words left a bitter taste in its mouth.
"And what do I gain if I do all of this? Why the hell am I even doing any of this?" Shane shouted at his system in frustration.
