Chapter 3947 - 3947

Chapter 3947: Drinking Blood

The Redstone Great Spirit Domain was vast, much larger than the Golden Furnace Great Spirit Domain. In the Golden Furnace, Little Python could cross the entire domain in half a year at full speed, but in the Redstone Domain, it would take two years. The straight line distance was over four times farther, and the volume was even greater.

After resolving his karmic ties, Little Python spent nearly a year approaching the center of the Redstone Great Spirit Domain. As they neared the center, Little Python frowned, "Master, I feel uneasy."

"It is a bit unusual," Lin Moyu agreed, furrowing his brow. It was his first time at the center of a Great Spirit Domain, and he sensed an indescribable ancientness here. The aura of ages filled the area, and the closer they got to the center, the more ancient it felt. This region seemed to have existed unchanged for countless years a truly astonishing thing, even for Lin Moyu, who had seen many places.

The world is always changing; only a few places are truly immutable. Even the Origin Ancestral Land and the Return to Origin Land change over time. When a new Great Dao emerges, it brings new vitality and washes away the old, so even though the Origin Ancestral Land might be the source of the myriad Daos and feel ancient, it never felt as timeless as this. The Return to Origin Land was similar: each new Dao diluted the accumulated sense of age.

Here, it wasn't that this place was older than the Return to Origin Land, but that it had never changed always the same for countless years.

Little Python continued flying toward the center while Lin Moyu observed the area. There were no longer any Small Spirit Domains, the chaotic mist was thinning, and there were no void beasts or worlds. It seemed this place belonged solely to the Redstone Emperor and did not welcome outsiders.

Lin Moyu sensed that if he didn't have the Redstone Emperor's stone fragment, he probably wouldn't have been able to enter at all.

As they got closer to the center, the surroundings grew more desolate even the chaotic mist dispersed, leaving a vacuum like zone.

Suddenly, Lin Moyu's gaze changed. In his vision appeared an unimaginably massive stone, floating motionless in the void. "So big!" Little Python exclaimed, and Lin Moyu agreed. The stone was so enormous that even from over a hundred million miles away, it was clearly visible. Any world would seem tiny beside it. Lin Moyu couldn't even measure its size it shouldn't exist by any normal logic.

Little Python tried to get closer, but the stone's terrifying aura made it feel like it would be torn apart just by the pressure. When they were still nearly ten million miles away, Little Python stopped, knowing it would die if it went further.

Lin Moyu also felt the pressure he had never encountered such a powerful stone. "Is this the Redstone Emperor's true body, or an innate origin treasure?"

From a distance, he saw huge cracks on the stone, as if clawed by some giant creature, exuding a terrifying aura. Fortunately, the stone suppressed it; unless one actively sensed it, it was almost undetectable.

Little Python gulped even though it had no saliva, it mimicked the gesture. "Master, I can't go any further."

Lin Moyu nodded, "I know. Wait here, I'll go alone."

Little Python shook its head like a drum, "No, Master, please put me away! I don't want to be left here alone, it's too scary." Lin Moyu chuckled and put Little Python away, then approached the stone himself.

The closer he got, the more terrifying the stone felt ancient and unmoving since it arrived.

Boom!

The stone suddenly trembled, a deafening roar echoing as the void twisted. Lin Moyu felt a shock like a full force Dao Lord attack, but thanks to his undead army and the myriad Daos of the Great World dispersing the impact, he was unharmed. If Little Python had been there, it would have been reduced to ashes.

"Are you alright, Lin Friend?" came a deep voice the Redstone Emperor, sounding slightly concerned.

Lin Moyu smiled, "I'm fine. What happened?"

Hearing Lin Moyu was unharmed, the Redstone Emperor relaxed. A red light fell from the top of the stone, shining on Lin Moyu. He followed the light, flying from the base to the top, taking in the full view of the stone. Up close, the cracks were even more shocking clearly left by some massive creature's claws.

The stone radiated a unique aura, like an innate origin treasure, yet not quite. After crossing a vast distance, Lin Moyu reached the top, where there was a stone hut and a simple stone table. The Redstone Emperor, in old man form, sat at the table, leisurely sipping tea or so it seemed.

Looking closer, it wasn't tea at all, but magma.

Lin Moyu laughed, "Such elegance, Emperor."

The Redstone Emperor shook his head, "I'm just bored. I can't leave, so I stay here. Hardly elegance."

Lin Moyu smiled, "The world is vast, with both real and void realms where could an Emperor not go?"

The Redstone Emperor was blunt: "Origin Ancestral Land, Return to Origin Land, the depths of the Beast Abyss, and that damned place I can't go to any of them."

Lin Moyu was surprised by his candor. These were indeed places an Emperor couldn't go. He wasn't a cultivator, so he couldn't enter the Origin Ancestral Land, let alone the Return to Origin Land. The depths of the Beast Abyss were mysterious, connecting the real and void worlds and forming the cycle of reincarnation, perhaps even leading somewhere else. As for "that damned place"...

Lin Moyu couldn't help but ask, "What is that damned place?"

The Redstone Emperor handed him a cup filled with magma. "Drink this, and I'll tell you."

Lin Moyu drank as instructed he wanted to try it anyway. This wasn't ordinary magma, but magma from the Soul Void, different in essence from the real world's kind. The magma exploded inside him, making his soul burn as if being refined, leaving him feeling refreshed and his mind clearer, with another trace of impurity burned away.

Lin Moyu, knowing his soul was already pure, was surprised there was still impurity to be refined.

He asked, "What is this?"

The Redstone Emperor replied, "My blood."

What?

So what he drank was the Redstone Emperor's blood and what the Redstone Emperor was drinking was also his own blood. Lin Moyu was left speechless by this unusual hobby.
