"We are twins, but there is only one Shadow Country."
Luo En looked at the two identical faces in front of him, lost in thought.
In Western culture, twins are often seen as competitors, as if two people share one body and fight for control. This perspective believes that between twins, one is always under the other's "shadow," inseparable yet mutually destructive.
Many religions also believe that twins are one soul divided into two bodies, inevitably leading to conflict and ending with one falling, thus twins are often seen as ominous and taboo in many myths and legends.
For example, the God of Light Balder and the God of Darkness Hod in Nordic mythology, Romulus and Remus in Roman mythology, Esau and Jacob in the Bible... these twins either kill each other, deceive each other, or fight relentlessly, not getting along well.
Likewise, Scatha and Scadi should have a similar relationship of interests.
