Chapter 378 - Chapter 378: Just a Rich Guy

"Are you sure you know what you're talking about?" William asked as he looked at Qin Feng, who was biting his lip and holding back tears. Did this kid, barely twelve years old, even understand what revenge meant?

"Of course I do. Revenge means that whoever killed my family, I will kill them back," Qin Feng replied firmly.

"Xiao Feng," his grandmother said, holding him tightly as she looked at William with concern. "He's still too young. He shouldn't be dealing with things like this."

"I disagree," William shook his head. "Before I help you get revenge, I need to know one thing. Kid, should I call you Qin Feng or Chen Feng?"

"Huh?" William's question surprised everyone. Qin Feng's grandfather asked, "Is there a difference?"

"Of course there is," William said as he took a few steps forward. The projected image of him now stood directly in front of Qin Feng. "If you're called Chen Feng, I'm avenging both you and the uncle I never met but greatly admire. But if you're called Qin Feng, I'm only avenging my uncle. You're smart—you should understand what I mean."

"But I'm not the head of the household. Even if I wanted to be called Chen Feng, it's impossible," Qin Feng said.

"That's a minor issue. If you really want to, your household registry can be brought to you in less than an hour," William said with a sly smile as he looked at the sharp little boy. "So, Chen Feng or Qin Feng?"

"Then I'll be called Chen Qin Feng," Qin Feng responded cheekily.

"Hahaha," William, Qin Feng's grandparents, and even his aunt Qin Hanh all laughed. "You little rascal. But I like that you remember your roots and don't forget your gratitude. Your new household registration will be delivered to the hotel."

William was satisfied with this outcome. Chen Qin Feng was just fine—the important part was that the Chen family name came first. After all, it wasn't unheard of to have double surnames with a single-character given name. As long as this clever kid acknowledged his lineage, William found himself liking him more.

"In three days, the people responsible for your father's death will be wiped from this world," William said, stepping back and suddenly turning serious. "No one harms my family and gets to live peacefully. But this isn't something you need to worry about. Your job now is to focus on learning and growing up safely."

"Uh, big brother, can I know who the enemy is?" Chen Feng hesitated before asking. "I know my dad was a hero, but I still want to understand why."

William snapped his fingers, and a hand-drawn image of a man with eight faces appeared in the projection. "I drew this myself. This guy is Wei Xingguang, a Thai national known as the Eight-Faced Buddha. Your father died because of him. As for what Wei Xingguang does, you're too young to know the details. Just understand that he and his entire family are some of the worst people on this planet, responsible for countless deaths and broken families."

Chen Feng wanted to ask more, but William cut him off. "That's enough for now. I've already told you that you're too young. Knowing more won't help you. If, when you're 18, you're still interested, I'll tell you the whole story. Now, let's talk about you. I've heard that you're very smart but don't put in much effort. Is that true?"

Hearing William criticize his lack of effort, 12-year-old Chen Feng immediately defended himself. "The stuff at school is too easy. I can learn it all on my own by reading."

"Looks like the Chen family bloodline is pretty strong," William laughed. "Since you find school too easy, starting tomorrow, you'll be transferred to the best private school in Shen City. You'll attend regular classes in the morning, and in the afternoon, a private tutor will teach you the curriculum required for English nobility.

"Of course, aside from the mandatory subjects, I won't force you to study anything you don't like. But there are quite a few interesting courses in the noble curriculum. Once you've experienced them, you can choose what you want to study."

"What's your favorite subject?" Chen Feng asked curiously.

"Shooting, hunting, and horseback riding. If you like riding and hunting, you can come to my castle. Have you ever heard of Akhal-Teke horses?" William smiled.

"Of course! They're like celestial horses—who hasn't heard of them?" Chen Feng shot William a disdainful look.

"Ha, great! Now I've decided to add another course for you. During your winter and summer breaks, you'll come to England for military training," William said with a mischievous grin.

"No way! You said you wouldn't force me to learn anything I didn't want to!" Chen Feng protested loudly.

"No choice. I've been in military training since I was ten. You're my little brother, so you won't escape it either," William said, still smiling. He wasn't about to admit that he made this decision because of Chen Feng's earlier look of disdain. Seeing the unhappy expression on Chen Feng's face, William realized that teasing this little guy would probably be quite fun. "Anyway, that's final. Now let's talk about the Akhal-Teke horses."

With a snap of his fingers, the projection changed to show the stables at William's castle. "This is my stable. There are nearly 100 purebred Akhal-Teke horses here, with another 100 or so arriving in the next month or two. This one is Chi Tu, my personal mount. By the way, Sunday, has Chi Tu's race been run yet?"

"SIR, the race is scheduled for the day after tomorrow. Shall I remind you when it's time?" Sunday responded.

"We'll see," William continued. "If you like riding, you can come to my place during the holidays. I'll teach you how to hunt, too."

He snapped his fingers again, and the projection displayed images of some of the most beautiful hunting rifles available online. "Aren't they gorgeous?"

"Yes!" Chen Feng nodded eagerly. Boys, like men, often find it hard to resist a beautiful gun.

"These hunting rifles are custom-made. If you do well in school, I'll give you one. But if your grades are poor, you'll have to make do with one of these mass-produced ones when we go hunting," William said, and as he spoke, the projection changed to show some plain, mass-produced hunting rifles.

Chen Feng, at 12, wrinkled his nose in displeasure at the sight of the plain rifles. William, however, wasn't about to tell him that those mass-produced rifles were just as powerful as the custom-made ones.

"Haha, those are just the basics. If your grades are good, I can also take you deep-sea fishing."

"Fishing's not as fun as riding and hunting," Chen Feng said dismissively.

"When I say deep-sea fishing, I don't mean sitting by a riverbank with a fishing pole. I'm talking about this," William said as a massive yacht sailed into the projection, startling everyone in the room.

"This yacht is 50 meters long. It's the largest and most luxurious yacht that can be mass-produced in the world right now. It's called the Ambrosia, and I gave it to my girlfriend."

"So, it's not even your yacht anymore," Chen Feng interrupted, ignoring his grandmother's attempts to hush him, and said with a mischievous grin, "What's there to brag about if it's not even yours?"

"Alright, kid, when you come to England for military training, you'll learn just how serious the consequences are for interrupting adults," William said, still smiling, but with a glint in his eye. He then turned to Sunday. "Sunday, contact the shipbuilders. Tell them I want a custom yacht, at least 100 meters long, with an initial budget of £100 million. If their design impresses me, even £200 million would be fine."

"Understood, SIR."

"Kid, do you know who you're mocking?" William asked, turning back to Chen Feng.

"Who?" Chen Feng shrugged. "Just a rich guy, right?"

"Haha, you're right. Your brother here is just a rich guy. But I make over 500 million yuan a day, and I'm only the richest person in England. It'll probably take me another year or two to become the richest person in the world," William said, his words stunning the precocious Chen Feng to the point where his jaw nearly dropped.
