There was only one reason Patricia had rushed to finish her job—and that was to continue "spying" on their new maid. She had already gotten a photo from Penny the day before, and while there was a resemblance, something didn't quite match.
For instance, the maid had a mole on her upper cheek. But in the photo, there was none.
It was one of those cases where they "looked alike," but not exactly. And since the photo showed a younger version, it was hard to make a quick judgment.
Patricia wanted to be sure—extra sure. Which was why she was now parked outside a grocery store with Hayley.
"Uh…" Hayley, who was behind the wheel, glanced at Patricia in the passenger seat. "Patty? What are we doing?"
"Shh!" Patricia narrowed her eyes, lowering her head a little as she peered over the windshield. "We're following our maid."
"Your maid?" Hayley tilted her head. "Why? What did she do? Did she steal something? Are you suspecting her of smuggling your groceries?"
