The tales of Demon Cultivators speak of beasts that start off as mundane as any wild animal, living each day without concern for anything but the basics of eat, drink, and be merry in blissful ignorance. Yet among these countless creatures, there is an occasional one, which, by a stroke of fortune, absorbs nature's spiritual energy and awakens its Spiritual Wisdom, transforming into Spirits and Monsters, and thereafter into a Demon Beast.
Of course, there are also those Demon Beasts that mate with other Demon Beasts—offspring who are naturally born as Demon Beasts. In the eyes of ordinary animals, these are the equivalent of being 'born in Rome'. It's highly probable that these Demon Beasts will come upon the chance of learning the Dharma Practice of cultivation. With effort in their Acquired Realm, they can cultivate a human form, and then, after conquering many trials and tribulations, eventually ascend to the upper realm.
