It was pouring outside the building.
The heavy rain in the summer was like a glass of cold water to quench thirst. The temperature during the day was so hot that many people were reluctant to go out, but then it was a relief when the water droplets fell from the sky to cool the previously hot surface.
The rain also affected the air temperature, and somehow it stabilized Finn's body. His body, after becoming half-zombie, was often unstable during the summer. That was why he didn't even know when or where he would transform into a zombie. But tonight, because the rain outside had managed to lower the air temperature, Finn's body was somehow more stable, and that was why he was even able to get out of his room after answering his best friend's call.
He was relieved, but he knew that he couldn't be too happy because the calm was only temporary. Later when the rain stopped and the air became hot again, he might transform into a zombie once again.
