A large booming sound waved out when the ball of flames landed on the Alpha. The flames spread and burned in vigor, turning anything it touched into ash.
After a few minutes of burning, Vin retracted back all the flames, and an Euphoric feeling swelled on withing him as he felt all the essence of the creature spread throughout his body and strengthening it.
Casting that large skill had drained quite a considerable amount of Spiritual Energy, but he felt even more refreshed and invigorated.
Although this wasn't enough to advance his cultivation, the increase in his body strength added to his also insane battle power.
The storm cloud reappeared, its voice booming, "Trial 40 ~ Objective ~ SURVIVE. Success."
Vin emerged victorious, his spirit tempered like steel.
But the Tower's trials were far from over. Vin's journey would continue, pushing him to unimaginable heights.
During the last couple of trials that Vin had undergone, Vin had made sure to use the variety of his skills, this was done mainly to train them, and also because some of the trials he went through demanded some certain skills.
There were trials where he had to use his Hell Flames, even using God's Eye, and since not all of them where combat trials he was also compelled to use his wits in certain situations.
But due to all this Vin was forced to use to use his Void Sword only during major trials every ten levels because they all involved survival, these hidden and normal trials had truly pushed Vin to his limits every single time, forcing him to use everything he got.
And even though he was now at the peak of the Spirit Sea Realm, it didn't seem to matter as the tower seemed to match his strength with each trial, but it was also because of these intense trials that he was able to train himself and refine his skills to the limits even Surpassing himself.
At first when Vin had absorbed the dragon pearl and created the Jade Abyss realm within him, the excess energy in his body had made it quite difficult to control his strength, but with all this fighting that he had been through within the last couple of weeks.
All those energies had been fully refined and integrated into his body, making it quite super human, he was now sure if it, within the same realm he would be able to defeat any one with just his physical strength alone.
There wouldn't even need to be too much battle to achieve that, as it would be quite a walk in the park, and speaking of which, Vin had noticed something else, he hadn't sensed it before due to the tension of the trials, but now as he advanced the floors he could feel it quite clearly.
The flow of time passed quite quickly in here unless the outside world, he had been in here for the last couple of weeks, almost a month, but he hadn't been ejected from the Tower of Trials yet, talk more of the Mystic Realm itself.
Which could only mean one thing, although more than a dozen weeks had jaded within here, only a couple of days had passed oursued/outside the tower. This could explain why some of the trials would take a long time to pass, and why people could challenge it as many times as they want.
Moving forward Vin wanted to try out some of his other abilities, during the last few weeks some of his powers which he hadn't used much were his bloodline abilities, and Hermes Celeration which he hadn't used at all as there wasn't any need to.
But that wasn't all as there was one other skill of his that he had improved which he wanted to try out, and this skill was called "Incursio" it was a sub skill he had gained when he mastered his domain ~ Equinox. Which granted him the ability to control the gravity within a certain area, and also condensed it to use as an attack.
But after absorbing the dragon pearl he had unlocked another ability called Phoenix might, which allowed him to suppress races weaker than him, which got him thinking, what if he combined Phoenix might and Incursio together to create one ability that would have the same effect as the two of them.
And when he did he was in for a surprised, as the combination of the two was made into something like a sub domain of some sort. And although it won't have the same effect as Equinox where it would suppress their cultivation levels, it would be restrict free movement.
The only drawback was the distance it could cover, which wasn't really a problem for Vin since it had accomplished its objective. As Vin waited to be transported to the next floor, he was quite expectant of the next trials.
Due to the abundance of energies within the Jade Abyss supplying his body, he could always recover quite easily so there was no need to rest for long.
As Vin was still within his thoughts, the entire place was soon changed to what could only be described as a death chamber, at least that was what Vin thought.
The entire chamber was large and seemed endless, as there was no end he could see, there seemed to be hidden mechanisms all around the walls and the entire place had a red tint to it emitting a crimson hue.
Looking ahead he could see what seemed to look like giant knights in black armor welding large swords, there was all sorts of traps that also had to be avoided, wether shown or hidden.
As Vin gazed upon the death chamber, he noticed that the walls, floor, and ceiling were crafted from a dark, polished metal that seemed to absorb the faint light emanating from the crimson hue. The air reeked of blood and oil, and the scent of charred metal hung heavy.
The giant knights, at least a dozen in number, stood spaced evenly throughout the chamber, their black armor adorned with intricate, glowing red runes. Their swords, massive and imposing, pulsed with a dark energy that seemed to resonate with the chamber's malevolent aura.
Vin's gaze swept the area, taking in the array of traps scattered throughout the chamber. Spikes protruded from the floor, poison-tipped darts lined the walls, and hidden pitfalls waited to swallow the unwary. The ground itself seemed to shift and tremble, as if the very foundations of the chamber were unstable.
The crimson hue emanating from the walls intensified, casting an eerie glow over the chamber. Vin sensed that the color was more than aesthetic; it was a warning, a sign that the trial was about to begin.
Suddenly, the chamber's silence was shattered by the sound of grinding gears and hissing steam. The walls began to shift, rearranging themselves to create a narrow, winding path through the chamber.
A voice, cold and detached, echoed through the chamber. "Trial 41: Labyrinth of Blood and Steel. Survive the gauntlet and reach the exit. You have ten minutes."
The giant knights stirred, their armor creaking as they raised their swords. The traps sprang to life, spikes shooting from the floor, and darts firing from the walls.
Vin's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with strategy. He knew that his physical strength, augmented by the Dragon Pearl's energy, would be crucial in this trial.
With a deep breath, Vin charged forward, his Void Sword flashing with an intense light. The knights, sensing his approach, turned to face him.
As Vin navigated the treacherous path, he realized that the chamber's design was intended to funnel him toward the knights, forcing him to confront them head-on.
The first knight swung its massive sword, the blade slicing through the air with deadly precision. Vin dodged, using his agility and speed to evade the attack.
With a swift counterstrike, Vin struck the knight's armor, sending it stumbling backward. The other knights closed in, their swords raised.
Vin's thoughts flashed to his Incursio-Phoenix Might combination. He focused his energy, unleashing the sub-domain's power.
The area around him seemed to warp, gravity compressing to restrict the knights' movements. Vin exploited the opening, striking down the knights with swift, precise blows.
The traps continued to fire, but Vin's agility allowed him to dodge and weave through the deadly projectiles.
As the minutes ticked down, Vin's progress slowed. The knights adapted to his tactics, and the traps grew more frequent and deadly.
Vin's energy began to wane, the Dragon Pearl's power coursing through him to replenish his strength.
With a final burst of speed, Vin cleared the gauntlet, reaching the exit as the timer expired.
The chamber's mechanisms fell silent, the crimson hue fading. The voice returned, "Trial 41: Success."
Vin stood panting, his chest heaving with exertion. He knew that the trials would only intensify from here.
As the chamber dissolved, Vin found himself transported to the next floor. A new trial awaited, one that would push him to the limits of his endurance.
