Chapter 99 - Chronicle 99 ~ Surprising Rewards

Unlike the other floors below, the eightieth floor had a different set of rules, or more like it was a unique place since there were no exact trials against the Tower here.

The eightieth floor was like a convergence points for all the cultivators whi were taking part in the Tower of Trials, anyone who got to this point would be given massive rewards based on the amount of Tower points you had ammased.

The air was crisp and clean, filled with the sweet scent of blossoming celestial flowers. Soft, ethereal light illuminated the floor, casting no shadows.

The landscape unfolded like a serene paradise: lush greenery, crystalline lakes, and majestic waterfalls. Towering trees with trunks of glittering silver and leaves of iridescent jade stretched toward the sky.

At the floor's center, the Celestial Oasis beckoned. This sacred site amplified the cultivators' connection to the Tower's energies, allowing them to tap into its deepest secrets.

In the direct center of the Oasis layed a large lotus like platform that was glowing with an abundance of swirling rainbow like energies, these energies emitted immortal-like mist with otherworldly aura.

This was a phenomenon caused by a condensation of an insane amount of Spiritual Energy, and it was almost impossible to find such a place in the outside world except in fruituisus encounters.

The only other places this insane amount of concentrated Spiritual Energy could be found were in the Royal family, the five major sects, and those second rate sects or factions that were infinitely close to being promoted to a major faction.

And even at that, only the most talented disciples within these places were eligible to cultivate within them, as they were hidden deep within their forbidden areas, that goes to show how rare such a thing was, and now it was being presented like this within the Tower.

One could only imagine how shocking such a sight would be if anyone saw it. Beside the the lotus like a platform, a little distance away was an Esquisite Lotus shaped Pavillion like structure that seemed to be condensed out of pure gold.

The pavilion's walls were adorned with intricate carvings of flames and golden accents, shining brightly under the radiant light of the setting sun.

The Exquisite Lotus Pavilion, a marvel of architectural wonder, stood as a testament to the Tower's unfathomable riches. Its walls, crafted from pure gold, shimmered with a warm, golden light, as if infused with the essence of the setting sun.

Intricate carvings of flames danced across the pavilion's surface, their delicate patterns weaving a tale of ancient wisdom. Golden accents, polished to a mirror-like finish, highlighted the carvings, casting a subtle glow across the surrounding landscape.

The pavilion's roof, a delicate latticework of golden filigree, seemed to defy gravity, floating above the structure with an ethereal lightness. Delicate, gemstone-encrusted tassels hung from the roof's edges, swaying gently in the breeze.

As one approached the pavilion, the air thickened with an expectant silence, as if the very fabric of reality held its breath in anticipation. The entrance, a graceful archway adorned with a golden lotus motif, beckoned visitors to enter.

Upon stepping inside, the pavilion's interior revealed itself to be a masterwork of elegance. Golden lotus patterns adorned the walls, their delicate petals unfolding like celestial flowers. The floor, polished to a mirror-like finish, reflected the light of the setting sun, casting no shadows.

At the pavilion's center, a magnificent golden throne stood, its surface etched with ancient runes that shimmered with an otherworldly energy. The throne seemed to await the arrival of a worthy occupant, one who would unlock the secrets of the Tower.

To the left of the throne, a glittering, crystal-encrusted console held a single, leather-bound tome. The book, adorned with golden filigree, seemed to pulsate with an inner light, as if containing the very essence of the Tower's knowledge.

On the walls surrounding the throne, ancient tapestries hung, depicting the history of the Tower and its most legendary cultivators. Their threads seemed to weave a narrative of triumph and sacrifice, inspiring those who gazed upon them.

The pavilion's right wing housed a magnificent, gemstone-encrusted altar, upon which rested a glittering, golden chalice. The chalice, said to hold the essence of the Tower's energies, seemed to radiate an aura of limitless potential.

Throughout the pavilion, subtle, shimmering threads connected the various artifacts, forming a web of ancient power. This sacred site was said to amplify the cultivators' connection to the Tower, granting them unparalleled insight into the mysteries of the universe.

This was where all the cultivators who had passed all the trials below would converge together, almost like a breaking point.

The first set of disciples to appear were the disciples from the royal family, followed by the disciples from the five major sects, then came the lone cultivators and finally the disciples from the second rate sects.

These disciples were all surprised as they weren't supposed to appear together like this, and in one location at that, but the Tower seemed to have a way to sort them out.

As everyone looked around and observed each other, There were two people who caught the attention of the whole crowd, and they were naturally Mara and Zara.

These two, girl and Hellhound were almost at the center of attraction since they had appeared last, the rest of the disciples were astounded at the sight, since they had no idea that a beast could actually participate in the Tower of Trials.

As Mara and Zara stood at the center of attention, the crowd's murmurs and gasps filled the air. The royal family's disciples exchanged skeptical glances, while those from the five major sects wore mixture of curiosity and suspicion.

"How is this possible?" a disciple from the Flaming Sun Sect whispered. "A beast, participating in the Tower of Trials? It defies the ancient laws!"

A lone cultivator, a young youth with long white hair, stepped forward. "I've heard tales of Mystical beasts possessing extraordinary intelligence and strength. Perhaps this one has transcended its beastly nature?"

Mara, seemingly aware of the commotion, scanned the crowd with an air of caution. Zara, sensing her companion's gaze, stood taller, her eyes gleaming with a fierce inner light.

The disciples from the second-rate sects, who had arrived last, whispered among themselves. "Are they... together? A human and a beast?"

A young woman from the Esquisite Paradise spoke up, her voice laced with excitement. "This changes everything! If a beast can participate, what other secrets lie hidden within the Tower?"

The female disciples from the Esquisite Paradise, as well as the top disciples from the top major sects, moved towards Mara to ask her about her connection to the beasts, since they were ranked above her in the sect, they were confident in being able to manipulate the situation.

After all it wasn't everyday that they would find a beast that was this intelligent, if they were able to subdue the beasts themselves, then they would have a very good companion.

But they had no idea that if they were to dare force Zara to do her bidding, then a certain someone who was still within the Tower below would have their heads, besides it would be a wonder if they were even strong enough to subdue Zara at all.

As the crowd's chatter intensified, the Exquisite Lotus Pavilion's golden walls began to shimmer. The air thickened with anticipation, as if the Tower itself was watching the unfolding scene.

Suddenly, the pavilion's entrance burst open, and a figure emerged. Dressed in flowing white robes, with hair as black as the night sky, he exuded an aura of serenity.

"Welcome, cultivators," he said, his voice like a gentle breeze. "I am the Tower's Guardian. You have surpassed the trials below and proven your worth. Now, you shall receive the rewards promised."

The Guardian's gaze swept across the crowd, settling upon Mara and Zara. A hint of a smile played on his lips.

"Ah, the unlikely duo. Your bond has intrigued the Tower. Come forth, and claim your rewards."

As the Guardian beckoned, Mara and Zara stepped forward, their movements synchronized. The crowd parted, allowing them to pass.

The Guardian led them to the golden throne, upon which rested a small, delicate box. "This contains your rewards," he said, opening the box.

A warm, golden light spilled out, revealing two glittering, crystal orbs. "These are the Essence of the Tower," the Guardian explained. "They hold the concentrated energy of the Tower's trials. Absorb them, and you shall unlock new heights of cultivation."

Mara and Zara exchanged a glance, then reached for the orbs. As their fingers touched the crystals, the room erupted in a blaze of light.

When the light faded, Mara and Zara stood transformed. Their auras had expanded, and their eyes shone with an inner radiance.

The crowd gasped in awe. "Incredible!" someone whispered. "They've taken a slight step into the next realm!"

The Guardian smiled. "The Tower's rewards are not limited to cultivation alone." he then handed two spatial rings to the both of them, each containing massive resources and weapons.
