The dark haired woman took a step forward and he flinched. While he was in uniform and she was only in casuals, he was her squad leader and she was 'only' the Navigator… she was still the more imposing soldier if no rules were set.
Her powers over Harmony made her deadly. And while he couldn't fully understand all the mechanisms that brought them there, he did at least understand that he had gravely upset her.
"Imagine if I came to your room after being gone for a while. There, I told you that I took the time to have sex with someone else before coming to see you. That I did this before even daring to openly talk to you about my straying thoughts that I have been having."
The 'hypothetical' was clear. She was trying to make him see things from her angle. The flash of genuine surprise in his expression told her everything. He truly hadn't anticipated this response.
