Chapter 243 - Chapter 145.2 : Sky Island!!

A few days later...

"This is it!"

Viola suddenly looked up, "Directly above here is the edge of the sea of clouds below!"

"Oh! Finally arrived?"

Yamato instantly came to attention.

"Heh heh heh! The legendary Sky Island, huh?"

Dorry, who was arm-wrestling with Brogy, grinned and turned his head. "But how do we get up there?"

"Of course," Ian twisted his neck. "We fly up."

In the next instant, golden light burst forth, and a massive golden dragon spread its wings in midair.

"Hold on tight!"

Everyone grabbed hold without hesitation.

Then, Ian grabbed the Golden Dragon ship, using his Haki to reinforce the ship's body before flapping its wings and lifting off.

The acceleration was so fast that many pirates were forcefully thrown onto the deck, even causing the two giants to stumble.

The enormous warship followed Ian, shooting into the sky like an arrow.

"Hahaha! To the Sky Island!"

Yamato cheered, nimbly climbing onto Ian's head like a monkey, gazing at the sky with excitement.

Hancock watched, her anger rising.

"Ha, ha, ha! Such overwhelming power!"

Brogy, meanwhile, marveled at something else. "To move such a massive ship with such ease... Is this really happening?"

Even the mutated individuals among the Giant Tribe, the ancient giants, are still far less impressive, right?

Ian simply flapped his wings and flew upward.

The straight-line distance from the White Sea to the Blue Sea is about seven thousand kilometers. Even holding onto the Golden Dragon Ship, this distance is nothing more than a blink of an eye for Ian.

He could already see clearly—a vast expanse of white ocean!

The next moment, Ian soared over the edge of the ocean, finally able to look down upon the sea.

"Whoa! It's so beautiful!"

Yamato, standing atop Ian's head, couldn't help but cheer.

The endless white sea of clouds gently drifted in the high winds, almost like they had truly arrived in heaven.

Hmm, maybe that description isn't the best?

Ian thought.

"The sea in the sky?"

Law stood by the edge of the ship, also surprised. He looked up, noticing another layer of sea clouds wriggling in the wind. "There's even another one above."

"This world is always crazier than we think," Drake said, deeply moved beside him.

The more they encountered this world, the more they marveled at its amazing wonders.

"Viola," Ian looked down at the sea of clouds below. At first, he hadn't noticed the island's presence. "Where's the nearest inhabited island?"

"About thirty nautical miles in the two o'clock direction."

Viola answered promptly.

Ian didn't hesitate, flapping his wings and moving forward. First, he needed to ask for directions and figure out where Birka was.

With his speed, thirty nautical miles was no more than a few minutes.

Soon, a white island appeared before Ian's eyes.

It was not a very large island, with a diameter of perhaps two to three kilometers, entirely white, except for a few small patches of green scattered around.

On the island, there was a small village, with all the buildings white, seemingly made of clouds.

When Ian landed the giant Golden Dragon ship on the island's shore, the entire island erupted with excitement.

The island's residents weren't blind; they could clearly see the giant ship that was as big as a mountain.

However, the islanders weren't afraid. Instead, they gathered around, as if they were watching a spectacle.

Then they saw it.

"It's really made of clouds!"

Yamato joyfully hopped around on the beach, as if playing on a trampoline.

Others were also curiously exploring the area.

Especially the giants, Dorry and Brogy, who were like two children, rolling around in the sand.

Yes, giants and a kingdom of clouds were quite a match.

"Of course it's made of clouds. This is the Sky Island's signature cloud island," Ian explained, while glancing at the approaching villagers from the village direction.

Had they never seen people from the Blue Sea?

They weren't scared at all; in fact, they seemed very interested.

The attire of these Sky Islanders was just as Ian had imagined.

"This, this is really the sea... Gulu, gulu..."

Ian turned his head and couldn't help but twitch his mouth when he saw Yamato had already fallen into the shallow waters of the beach.

Sea clouds, it's both cloud and sea.

With a swift motion, Ian pulled her out of the sea cloud and carried her toward the villagers.

All the villagers were watching him with curiosity.

"Can someone tell me which direction Birka is in?"

Ian said, "I can exchange items from the Blue Sea with you."

Whispers immediately started.

"Blue Sea?"

"Is he from the Blue Sea? Impressive."

People looked Ian over.

"Ships from the Blue Sea are so big! Amazing!"

People looked at the Golden Dragon ship.

"People from the Blue Sea are huge too! Incredible!"

People looked at the giants still rolling around on the beach.

Finally, an elderly man tremblingly stepped forward and carefully asked, "Are you going to Birka?"

"That's right."

Ian nodded.

The old man kindly warned, "The ruler of Birka, Enel, is a cruel man with god-like power. It's very dangerous there."

"God?"

The large weapon in Ian's hand was instantly lifted by Yamato, who raised her head, "That sounds so interesting!"

Ian smiled, "You just need to tell me the direction."

A little later, Ian once again launched the Golden Dragon ship into the sky, heading towards a certain direction in the sea.

The villagers on the small island were left behind, staring in awe at the items from the Blue Sea.

"Oh! Food from the Blue Sea! Incredible!"

"Clothes from the Blue Sea, also amazing!"

"Weapons from the Blue Sea, even more incredible!"

Birka.

It was an island located near the center of the White Sea.

According to the old man's words, Birka is the largest country in the entire White Sea, with only the higher levels—Angel Island and the Island of the Gods—able to rival it.

It's not too far away, just a little over a hundred nautical miles.

Ian continued flying in silence, and before long, the island appeared before his eyes.

It was indeed quite large, with a diameter of over ten kilometers. The whole island was white, but the densely packed buildings could be clearly seen.

So, should I greet them first?

Hmm?

Ian looked up.

A few seconds ago.

In the depths of Birka, within a luxurious palace.

The man revered as a god opened his eyes.

"Yehahaha! How dare you intrude into my domain! You shall turn to dust, insect."

He casually waved his right hand toward the sky, and in the next instant, the arm transformed into a bolt of lightning, shooting up into the heavens.

"God's Judgment."

Back to the present.

Ian looked up.

A bolt of lightning suddenly appeared in the sky, crashing down upon him, covering the entire area.

"Oh?"

Ian chuckled softly.

It seems the local god isn't too friendly.

I was going to greet them first.

But this scope of Observation Haki and the attack range—it's no joke.
