Of course, "powerful" was relative. Compared to Naruto and Sasuke, these two weren't exactly overwhelming.
Naruto and Sasuke could see the masked figures' hair—one had golden hair, the other black.
Naruto stroked his chin. "So these are this world's versions of us?"
Their chakra signatures were way too familiar. Were they seriously trying to act all mysterious?
The two cloaked figures standing on the Nine-Tails' back hesitated for a moment, then exchanged glances but didn't remove their masks.
The blond one spoke first, looking at Naruto and Sasuke. "Who are you?"
His voice was low, but even so, it couldn't hide how familiar it sounded.
"Confirmed. That one's you." Sasuke crossed his arms, a faint smile on his face. "His chakra is strong—stronger than Kakashi's. At this level, even Pervy Sage would have a hard time dealing with him."
But compared to Naruto… still a little lacking.
"Then the one next to him must be you." Naruto wasn't too interested in his alternate self. Instead, he curiously studied the other black-cloaked figure. "Come to think of it, we're both Naruto and Sasuke. How should we refer to each other?"
"That's not something you need to worry about," Sasuke sighed.
Cloaked Naruto clearly wasn't happy. He clenched his fists, his chakra flaring up. Even his tone was filled with killing intent. "I asked you… Who are you?!"
A powerful aura exploded from his body, pressing down like a mountain—
Or, well… maybe more like a strong breeze.
The force rushed toward Naruto and Sasuke, making them feel… a gentle gust of wind.
The killing intent was decent—probably about the same level as Kurama's.
Oh right, the Nine-Tails in this world isn't actually murderous. Even though it bares its fangs and looks terrifying, and its chakra is ridiculously massive, when it comes to real killing intent and coldness, it doesn't have any.
"How rude."
Sasuke took a step forward, the smile on his face fading.
The moment he spoke, the power of his Tomoe Rinnegan exploded. The immense energy of the Six Paths, along with his own chakra, surged out without restraint. This time, it felt like a mountain was crushing down on Black-Robed Naruto and Black-Robed Sasuke, completely pinning them to the ground.
The overwhelming pressure was nothing like the gentle breeze from earlier—it was as if the sky itself had collapsed, making it impossible for them to move.
The massive body of the Nine-Tails sank lower, the beast half-crouching on the ground, its limbs trembling slightly. Its eyes were wide with shock as it stared at Sasuke.
"This… is the power of the Sage of the Six Paths?"
The Nine-Tails' voice trembled with fear. Even though it had a deep and mature tone, hearing it say something like that…
…almost made Sasuke break his composure.
The pressure weakened a little, at least enough for the Nine-Tails to feel slightly less suffocated.
Naruto looked at the Nine-Tails in shock.
"Wait… You're female? No, I mean… You're a she?"
With the pressure easing up, the Nine-Tails straightened slightly and shot a wary look at Naruto.
"Beasts don't have genders."
Meanwhile, the two black-robed figures, still pinned against the Nine-Tails' back, stared at Sasuke in horror.
"Who the hell are you?!"
"Hmph."
Sasuke let out a cold snort, his Tomoe Rinnegan glowing faintly as he gazed at them arrogantly.
"Uchiha Sasuke. Heir to the Sage of the Six Paths."
The black-haired man in the black robe froze for a second, then pointed at himself in disbelief.
"Then… who am I?"
"Idiot!"
Black-Robed Naruto snapped at Black-Robed Sasuke, his voice filled with anger.
"This guy used a transformation jutsu to copy our appearance! Did you already forget what the masked man told us?!"
Black-Robed Sasuke paused for a moment, then nodded.
"You're right."
"We have to get rid of him!"
Black-Robed Naruto clenched his teeth, his eyes filled with killing intent.
"Nine-Tails, attack him with everything you've got!"
The Nine-Tails hesitated for a moment but quickly opened its mouth. A Tailed Beast Bomb began forming inside.
Naruto lowered his arms and took a step forward, ready to stop it.
A Tailed Beast Bomb had way too much destructive power—if it went off, all of Konohagakure could be wiped out. He had ways to stop it, but the best move right now was to interrupt the Nine-Tails before it could fire.
But before he could act, Sasuke suddenly spoke up.
"Naruto, let her continue. There's something I want to test."
Naruto hesitated, then stepped back.
"Be careful. If that thing goes off, all of Konohagakure will be blown away."
"Relax."
Sasuke flashed a confident smile.
Seeing that neither Naruto nor Sasuke were stopping her, the Nine-Tails didn't hesitate anymore. It sped up the process, and in just a few seconds, a massive Tailed Beast Bomb—almost half the size of the Nine-Tails itself—formed in its mouth.
Black-Robed Naruto grinned.
"That's it. Blow Konohagakure sky-high!"
With the Nine-Tails going all out, the enormous Tailed Beast Bomb was unleashed. Its terrifying power and swirling chakra shot straight toward Naruto and Sasuke.
Naruto glanced at Sasuke with a hint of concern.
If Sasuke gave the word, he would immediately activate Six Paths Mode and deflect the bomb into the sky. The sheer size of this thing…
If that Tailed Beast Bomb exploded, the entire Konohagakure would be wiped out.
But luckily, Sasuke didn't let Naruto down. He still had that confident smile on his face as he reached out his right hand toward the massive Tailed Beast Bomb.
At the same time, on his shoulder—hidden from sight—a faint glow emerged from the Karma seal, blending with the light from Sasuke's Tomoe Rinnegan. A strange energy appeared in front of him.
The next moment, Sasuke's right hand collided with the Tailed Beast Bomb.
"He's done for!" Black-Robed Sasuke stared at the enormous sphere ahead, then turned to Black-Robed Naruto and said, "Let's get out of here too. If that thing explodes, we'll get caught in it."
Black-Robed Naruto smirked and nodded. "Too bad, I won't get to see his final words—"
Before he could finish, a massive spiral appeared on the other side of the Tailed Beast Bomb. The giant sphere was slowly shrinking, pulled in by the swirling force, until it completely dissolved into pure chakra and was absorbed into the spiral's center.
That's right—it was Sasuke's right hand.
In just three seconds, the Tailed Beast Bomb had completely vanished. No explosion, no shockwave, not a single bit of damage. No one was harmed.
Kurama stared, wide-eyed, at the spot where the enormous sphere had disappeared. His brain had practically shut down.
Black-Robed Naruto and Black-Robed Sasuke wore the same dumbfounded expression, standing there in disbelief as they stared at Sasuke.
Naruto held a Truth-Seeking Orb in his hand, looking at Sasuke with a mix of excitement and curiosity. "That was the Sealing Jutsu Absorption Seal (Rinnegan's Preta Path), right? But… can it really absorb that fast?"
Sealing Jutsu Absorption completely counters ninjutsu and chakra, but absorption still takes time. That Tailed Beast Bomb wasn't small, yet Sasuke drained it in less than three seconds—that was crazy.
"There's also the Karma seal," Sasuke explained with a confident smile as he lowered his hand. "The Karma seal can absorb chakra too. I just figured that out. When combined, both abilities enhance each other."
He ignored Naruto's sparkling 'That's amazing! I'm so jealous!' expression and turned his gaze toward Black-Robed Naruto and Black-Robed Sasuke in the distance.
"So… is this all you've got?"
"Don't kill our excitement. If you're too weak, it's no fun at all."
His voice was calm, as if he was simply stating a fact.
But that matter-of-fact tone made both of them clench their fists.
Yep… Taunting had basically become Sasuke's passive ability at this point. Not really his fault, though—passive skills are automatic, you know?
