"Lisi, hide in here, don't come out, understand?" a woman stuffed a little girl into a wardrobe and closed the doors.
Because of the haste, the wardrobe doors were not closed tightly, leaving a crack.
Through the gap in the wardrobe, Lisi saw a group of Japan soldiers rush into the room and strip her mother bare.
Then, the room was filled with the soldiers' sinister laughter and her mother's screams.
A voice arose in Lisi's mind, "You now possess great power, you can go out and save your mother."
Lisi was expressionless, silent.
Because she knew it was just an illusion triggered by the memories deep in her mind.
If she truly believed it and rushed out, she would undoubtedly die!
"You clearly possess the power to save your mother, why won't you save her?" the voice spoke again, "If you don't save her, what's the point of having eternal life?"
Lisi still made no noise, letting her mother's screams dig into her heart over and over again.
