Chapter 252 - 252: Why Are You Here Too?!

Gon and Killua's talents are undeniable—a product of their lineage, hard work, and sheer charisma.

It's no wonder that these same traits are reflected in Ging Freecss, one of the five strongest individuals in the world. His adventurous spirit, raw talent, and infuriating yet brilliant character make him truly unforgettable.

"What's the matter? Is something wrong with me?"

After dealing with the trouble, Ging returned to find Ronnel studying him with an almost suspicious gaze. He glanced down at his own attire, checking for any issues.

"No, it's nothing," Ronnel said, shaking his head with a small smile. "I just think your strength is incredible—comparable to Chairman Netero."

"Hah! Comparing me to Netero? If you're talking about me at his age, he'd have wiped the floor with me!" Ging laughed, brushing off the compliment.

With a few more jokes exchanged, the two pressed deeper into the canyon, their sights set on finding the Dark Sonata.

...

Meanwhile...

"Why are you here too?!"

Killua's voice echoed in disbelief as he entered the waiting area for the Greed Island qualifications review. Scanning the room, his sharp eyes landed on a familiar figure—Milluki.

Seated at a corner table, Milluki was munching on potato chips as though he didn't have a care in the world.

"What's he doing here? Shouldn't he have gone home after failing to bid at the auction? This is so unlike him..." Killua muttered, his eyes narrowing with suspicion.

The two brothers had always shared a complicated relationship. Milluki envied Killua's talent and their mother Kikyo's favoritism, while Killua found Milluki's laziness and lack of resolve infuriating. Despite this, their sibling bond was strangely enduring, with grudging moments of reliance on one another.

Milluki, noticing Killua's glare, snorted and turned his attention back to his snacks, his usual arrogance on full display.

Killua twitched but sighed, deciding it was best to act like they didn't know each other.

Once the review began, Gon and Killua breezed through with ease, their recent training bearing fruit. Alongside other examinees, including Milluki, Bisky, and Shizuku, they were ushered into a room lined with consoles for the Greed Island game.

"Congratulations to all who passed the review and earned the right to play Greed Island," announced the man, standing tall at the front with an elegant demeanor.

Before proceeding, however, the man distributed contracts.

"These contracts, commissioned by Mr. Battera, are simple. If you clear the game, you must leave a reward card for him. In exchange, you'll be rewarded with 50 billion Jenny," the man explained as the group read the terms.

Killua, experienced in dealing with contracts thanks to his family's assassin business, skimmed the document quickly and nodded to Gon in confirmation.

Milluki, meanwhile, had already signed his name, muttering to himself about his plans to claim the prize for himself.

Inside Greed Island, the Phantom Troupe was making steady progress.

Underneath a towering pine tree, Feitan stood with a massive beetle in his grasp. A moment later, the creature shimmered and transformed into a card.

"Finally, the designated pocket card," Feitan murmured, slipping the King White Stag Beetle (Card #53) into his card book.

"Is this only the seventh card we've collected?" Phinks asked, his arms crossed. "Shalnark and Franklin might have more, but we're not even close to twenty cards yet. Some of the harder ones don't even have clues."

Feitan nodded, his tone clipped. "The progress is slower than expected."

At that moment, Feitan's card book chimed.

Ding-dong! Your friend Shalnark has sent a message. Please respond.

"Feitan, come to us immediately. I've made an important discovery," came Shalnark's voice.

Feitan glanced at Phinks, their expressions serious. Without hesitation, they activated the Transport Card, vanishing from the spot.
