Chapter 9 - Introductions

"Eric Linaeas," announced a blonde young man with a smile that left female students blushing. His perfectly chiseled features and effortless charm made him the object of admiration for nearly everyone present.

Most knew he was a high-ranker.

That guy's bad news, Lorelle thought, his ash-white eyes narrowing as Eric took his seat with casual confidence.

[Why? Did he become a villain?]

"He did. Led to a hidden heroine's death because he got jealous over his fiancée," Lorelle muttered under his breath.

The next person stood.

"Allen," said a young man with gray hair and merlot-red eyes, his voice sharp and curt. He didn't bother with his full name before sitting down.

His presence radiated authority and confidence. His strikingly handsome face was almost unnerving—sharp jawline and piercing gaze that compelled even the proudest to look away. Male students felt instinctively inferior in comparison.

Allen, Lorelle thought, studying the man seated in the front row with his usual group of followers, no doubt maintaining his reputation as a model student.

[Villain?]

"Do you even need to ask? Look who he's sitting with, and you know who he's engaged to," Lorelle whispered, leaning back resignedly.

"Michael Rolphen," announced another young man with flowing golden hair that shimmered under the room's lighting. His azure eyes were captivating, his face flawless as if sculpted by gods. His calm, approachable demeanor seemed almost too perfect—dreamlike.

"Scarlet Raphiel," said the girl beside him, her voice smooth as silk. Long, lustrous black hair framed a strikingly beautiful face that seemed surreal. Her merlot-red eyes glimmered with otherworldly allure, porcelain skin seemingly untouched by imperfection. She possessed an elegance that drew every gaze.

[Who are they?]

"The guy's a prince from a kingdom in the Falkorian Empire," Lorelle said, stretching to relieve stiffness. "The girl is his fiancée... well, not for long."

[Why?]

"You've been asking exhausting questions," Lorelle complained, glancing at the next person standing.

[You should be grateful I'm having a conversation instead of finding ways to corrupt your mind.]

"Boy, am I thrilled you didn't try corrupting me today," Lorelle shot back sarcastically.

[Just tell me.]

"He falls in love with some commoner named Liliana," Lorelle muttered.

[So he neglects his fiancée while chasing her?]

"Exactly."

[Is his fiancée a heroine?]

"Really?" Lorelle rolled his eyes.

[Yeah, guess it was obvious.]

The voice was about to continue when a girl with vibrant pink eyes and hair stood up. The moment she did, every male in the room felt inexplicably drawn to her—Lorelle included.

"Liliana Creamwell," she said with a radiant smile, and many were already falling in love.

She possessed beauty on a level that shouldn't exist—unnatural, overwhelming beauty that defied logic.

"Damn, she's dangerous," Lorelle muttered, finally regaining control over his emotions.

[A villain.]

"Correct. But you wouldn't be able to tell with how innocent she acts. She intentionally made that fool fall in love with her for one reason alone..."

[Which is?]

"Tell me how you knew about my destiny first, and you'll get answers."

[...]

"Then I guess it's time I keep my secrets too."

[It's better you don't know. For your own good.]

"I decide what's for my own good, not you," Lorelle replied firmly, turning his attention to someone he hadn't wanted to see for years.

"Eloisa Carlien," said a girl with silken white hair tipped with blue and matching cerulean eyes. She was breathtakingly beautiful, her presence casting a spell over the room.

[A heroine?]

"..."

[Come on, just tell me.]

"..."

[Stubborn human.]

The voice faded, leaving Lorelle staring at her with emotions he struggled to control.

Eloisa, he thought, guilt clawing at his chest.

"Rizel Steelburn," announced another girl with unique beauty rivaling the rest.

"Ariana Frosten," said the next, her presence equally enchanting, leaving many male students imagining what sharing a room with one of these beauties would be like.
