"You're a fool—a slave from day one. And even now, you're still just another pawn, chasing something you know deep down will never happen."
"I said, who are you?! How do you know all this?!" The thing wearing Ryan's face screamed, voice cracking with confusion.
She didn't answer right away. Instead, she reached for the heart-shaped pendant around her neck—something Ryan had never noticed before. Small and seemingly insignificant, but the way she held it suggested otherwise.
"Do you even know why she made you do all this?" Her tone sharpened. "To push him down a path he'd never choose willingly. To drive him toward a fate he fights against with everything he has. Do you understand why she's obsessed with him? Why you were created to feed him those memories, to stoke his hatred over and over?"
The entity shifted uncomfortably. Its usual arrogance was cracking, replaced by something that looked suspiciously like fear.
"What are you?"
"I told you—I'm the villainess. You should know that, especially since you've been trying to dig future secrets out of him. You're not sure she'll keep her promise, are you?"
She leaned back slightly, watching the creature wrestle with her words.
"Do you know the FUTURE?" it demanded desperately.
"No," she interrupted. "I don't know the future. But I do know this—you'll never become a primordial god."
"LIES! She promised!"
"Then why do you doubt her?"
The question hit like a slap. The creature went silent.
"Let me tell you a story," Selena continued, her voice taking on a darker edge. "Once, there was a mortal who wanted absolute power. Started as nothing—just another speck in fate's grand design. But he conquered everything in his path, driven by a singular purpose."
"As he grew stronger, the gods got scared. They watched him ascend beyond destiny's limits, beyond their control, beyond their understanding. This mortal was different from the Children of Destiny—his potential wasn't capped by the WILL. His growth was limitless, and that terrified them."
"They knew if they didn't stop him, he'd challenge even the primordial gods. So they made a plan."
"First, they sent lesser gods. Those gods fell. Gods that were supposed to be immortal—dead, their essence erased. That's when they realized he wasn't just a mortal. He was something far more dangerous."
"More gods were dispatched. The Fates themselves wove intricate plans to end him. But everything failed. This mortal stood above them all."
"But then..." Her voice dropped to almost a whisper. "One goddess had an idea—the only way to destroy this mortal."
"The records were brought forth. All gods poured their essence into creating one being. Not a being made to be powerful, but one made to embody fragility. But they realized the plan would fail for a reason they all knew. There was only one way to make it work—a certain goddess had to sacrifice half her essence for its creation."
She paused, watching the creature tremble. "Now do you understand why she made you do all this?"
The entity quivered as the pieces fell into place.
"You still don't see it." Selena sighed, raising her hand. Ancient symbols began forming in the air—bluish strands of glowing runes spiraling around her fingers.
"Wait... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" the creature shrieked.
Too late. The symbols shot forward, embedding themselves in Ryan's chest. His golden eyes dimmed back to ash as the light drained away.
"I'm rewriting the story," Selena whispered, leaning closer until her face was inches from his. "And for that to happen... you can't be part of it anymore."
She stopped just short of his lips. "This is going to be interesting."
