Chapter 53 - Chapter 54: The Burning Wall 2.

The sky above Caelid is a deep shade of blood red, while beneath such a reddish aberration there is only barren, rotting earth, and vegetation affected by the scarlet plague.

Surprisingly, such an area that is normally silent and decaying, today boils with life, whether it be the areas closest to Necrolimbo, or where the ancient Caelid jungle once existed.

All, absolutely all existing life forms in Caelid are running towards the burning wall of Radahn. There were large scarlet dogs, black crows of great size, cockroach-like humanoid beings, and all sorts of deformed aberrations.... Even lesser dragons. .

"Inventory:Ritual Funeral Spear."

Speaking calmly while his face is illuminated by the reddish light that barely makes it past the clouds, a man can be seen dressed extravagantly, plus he carries a spear in his left hand and a katana in his right hand.

This one also has shoulder-length silver hair, although it seems to have been forcibly pulled rather than cut, a pair of dragon-like golden eyes, and a height of 1.75cm... But he still looks imposing in front of the horde of beasts.

"What noisy animals, let's see how long that resistance lasts. , , , and also the vial of miraculous medical."

"That's... Isn't that too much, Aldrich, I didn't say anything!"

Hiding her perfect face behind the fiery wall behind Aldrich's back, the white-haired young woman only lets her dragon horns show, which she doesn't get to hide, though Aldrich doesn't seem to care much about her opinion.

"Ritual summoner of spears."

Dozens, no, perhaps hundreds of strange distortions appear over the red skies of Caelid, before spears just like the ones in Aldrich's hand fall like rain.

Some beasts were pierced in the head, others in the body, but what is certain is that none got away with such an attack in the area. Even so, wounded, half dead, with their limbs shattered, they continue forward with eyes burning with desire.

"How scary... Come!"

Breaking the ground only by the momentum generated by his forward stride, Aldrich instantly appears in the midst of the ferocious beasts. It was brutal, for every swing of his katana, a wave of lunar light dismembers at least five beasts in a straight line, before a diagonal slash does even more damage.

*Roar*

Flapping its pair of scaly wings, a lesser dragon makes its appearance on the battlefield. The first thing this mighty beast did was launch a breath of fire, burning everyone in a straight line all the way to Aldrich.

"Inventory:Large Shield of the Golden Tree."

Making a large shield forged from pure gold and seemingly filled with vines appear, Aldrich lifts it up as if it were nothing, then deflecting the fire breath away with the incantation imbued in the shield.

With that unforeseen thing out of the way, he makes the large shield disappear in a flash of golden particles, before forming a spear of yellow lightning in his free hand and releasing it fiercely.

*Booom!*

The powerful impact between the lightning and the scales sends a shockwave across the battlefield, but quickly the resulting chaos disperses, revealing the dragon slowly falling towards the ground.

"Zamor Storm!"

Striking the staff that at some point appears in his hand, Aldrich releases an ice spell easily, leaving the surroundings filled with ice statues that are shattered by the oncoming beasts.

"Big one coming, Aldrich!"

"Ekzykez!"

*roar!*

Letting out a roar that brings down all the mutant crows flying beside him, Ekzykez makes his appearance with a show of supreme strength, then fixes his red eyes on Aldrich below.

Aldrich didn't look worried at all, instead a smile grows on his face and he brings his hand into a javelin throwing pose. It was again a lightning spear, no, this was the lightning spear... A spear of pure electric and holy energy.

"Great lightning spear!"

Being hurled towards the dragon, the lightning spear multiplies by dozens in the same way, turning into an electrifying rain that falls squarely on Ekzykez's body.

*Roar!*

Bits of sickly white scales fall from the sky, but once the electric flash disappears, Ekzykez can be seen still standing with minimal damage and gathering energy in his mouth.

Strangely his breath was not of dragon flames, but was instead a thick, crimson smoke made of pure scarlet rot. Those who were even minimally touched by this breath quickly became even more deformed beings, only to explode in bloody disaster.

"Eternal darkness."

Taking the staff he had stuck into the ground earlier, Aldrich raises it into the air, and by next, a bluish darkness devours the entire nearby combat zone.

This is one of the most commonly used magics by the infamous mage hunters of the city of Sellia, very effective thanks to its ability to nullify any magic or enchantment it comes in contact with.

Living up to its infamous reputation, Eternal Darkness easily devours Ekzykez's putrid breath completely, managing to make even the half-mad dragon see the strangeness of the situation.

"Punishment Bramble."

A sweet smell floats in the air for a few moments, driving the deformed beings of Caelid even crazier, although all those who advanced were quickly pierced by bloody thorns coming out of the ground.

Even with all that collateral destruction, the one who takes the brunt of it all is the dragon Ekzykez. This one saw how its wings are surrounded by bloody vines, to then be knocked to the ground by the force of magic.

*Roar*.

Letting out a final roar of utter reluctance, the Ekzykez dragon is finally completely surrounded by the bloody vines, which enter his body through the missing scales, through the lightning spears, then slowly drain his blood.

"The biggest one is already out, now who else is coming?"

Positioning the staff on the ground to keep casting the spell, a new wave of golden particles gather in Aldrich's hand, before taking the shape of two curved swords with strange magical formulas engraved on their blades.

They were the ultra swords of Radahn, a weapon worthy of the strongest Demigod during the Great Devastation, who is said to have stopped the stars and faced Malenia.
