Chapter 354 - Chapter 30: Holding Ground in the Lucia Continent

Ignoring the dragonkin and the Flügel who were busy dealing with the corpses outside, Origami Tobiichi led Jibril into the council hall.

As they pushed open the grand doors and walked inside, the attention of all the council members in the hall immediately shifted to them.

They had seemed to be discussing something just moments ago, but upon seeing outsiders enter, all conversations stopped as they turned to look.

"Jibril, why are you here?"

A mature-looking Flügel with long golden hair cast a mildly displeased glance her way:

"You know this is a place only members of the Eighteen-Winged Council may enter. It's one thing for you to barge in yourself, but why are you bringing someone else with you?"

"You should also know that I've never been interested in this whole Eighteen-Winged Council thing," Jibril rolled her eyes.

"And it's not like I came of my own accord—didn't you see I was following someone else in?"

As Jibril said this, everyone turned their attention to the one standing in front—Origami Tobiichi.

They didn't recognize her.

Back when Origami had first arrived in Avant Heim, all the council members except for Azril had gone to hunt dragonkin.

After she met with Artosh, the God of War, and obtained what she needed, she left right away, without ever meeting the others.

Seeing this, Azril—who stood at the center of the council chamber—cleared her throat and began to introduce:

"This is the special Flügel individual I mentioned earlier, an external member of the Eighteen-Winged Council, personally appointed by Father as a candidate for council leader—Origami Tobiichi, nya~"

"So you're Origami Tobiichi?"

"I've been wanting to meet you ever since I heard there was a unique individual among us. So glad to finally see you~"

"Just like Jibril said… your life structure really is unusual…"

Upon hearing her name, most of the council members showed keen interest.

Some even flew down from their seats and gathered around Origami, observing her with enthusiasm or curiosity.

The ongoing meeting was disrupted, causing a few of the more serious council members to sigh in exasperation.

But the previous discussion hadn't been anything important—just a debrief of their latest dragonkin hunt.

So the summary was set aside for now, and the members of the Eighteen-Winged Council began enthusiastically introducing themselves to welcome this new addition.

The Flügel were a powerful race, and the council members among them were the elite of the elite.

For tens of thousands of years, not a single council seat had been vacated due to death in battle.

Origami was the first new member in an incredibly long time.

Moreover, she had been handpicked by Artosh as a candidate for leadership, which only heightened their interest.

More than half of the council members extended invitations for joint hunts and duels to spar with her.

Naturally, Origami declined them all.

"Ahem, Origami Tobiichi, is there something important you've come to report this time, nya?"

After some casual exchanges to get acquainted, Azril coughed twice and turned the topic toward business:

"Half a month ago, after you left, Little Jib said you went on another secret mission assigned by Father, correct?"

"Yes," Origami nodded.

"Though I can't reveal the details, the mission has made some progress."

"How wonderful, to be personally entrusted with a mission from Father!"

A childlike Flügel chimed in with envy:

"While hunting powerful foes is fun, I really wish I could do something meaningful for Father too, like you."

"Actually, you can."

Hearing those words sparked something in Origami mind.

This visit was precisely to seek the help of the Flügel.

Although, with her current status, commanding the council and other Flügel wasn't difficult, it would be even better if they voluntarily wanted to help.

Keeping her expression neutral, Origami replied:

"The main reason I've returned is that I've encountered some challenges in my mission. I'd like to request your assistance."

"Really?"

Not only the childlike Flügel but the rest of the council members also looked delighted upon hearing this.

Unlike Jibril, the other Flügel held simple, sincere affection for Artosh.

They didn't want to challenge their god, nor could they bear to harm their father—but they still longed to do something for him, to please the one who had created them.

Now hearing that a special envoy working for Artosh needed help, their eyes lit up.

They eagerly pounded their chests and pledged their full support—promising they would help no matter what, or find a way even if it seemed impossible.

Seeing their enthusiasm, Origami didn't hold back any longer and stated directly:

"I need the Flügel to cease all operations on the continent of Eliera and relocate your base to the Lucia continent. Is that possible?"

"Of course it is. I'll contact Avant-kun myself to arrange it, nya~"

Knowing that Origami was on a secret mission, Azril didn't ask for any further explanation and readily agreed.

Avant Heim was not only their base but also a Phantasmal Species itself.

Relocating wasn't difficult—they just needed to establish mental communication and negotiate with it directly.

The Flügel had only been operating on the Eliera continent because it was larger and housed stronger races—not because they were bound to it in any way.

"Thank you," Origami said.

"Once you're on the Lucia continent, you'll be free to move about as you like."

She did not tell them about the E-Bomb.

For now, the E-Bomb remained the Dwarfs' top-secret weapon. Neither the Flügel nor the Forest Elves knew about it.

If the Flügel found out that the Dwarfs had developed a god-slaying weapon, they would immediately rush to the Dwarf capital in droves, just to find out which was truly the strongest god-slaying force.

And the Dwarfs were, frankly, insane.

If news of the E-Bomb leaked and provoked the Flügel into a challenge, the Dwarfs would absolutely respond by launching the weapon.

If that happened, all life on the Lucia continent—including humans—would be completely annihilated.

That's why Origami deliberately kept the real reason to herself, only asking the Flügel to change their operational base.

Once the Flügel became active on the Lucia continent, the Dwarfs would surely cancel their planned test detonation there.

This way, humanity would gain more time to develop.

"Then let's not waste time. Half of you go inform those still on Avant-kun. The other half, recall everyone currently out hunting," Azril ordered.

"Tell them: we, the Flügel, are moving."
