He had a warm smile on his face as he pushed the door of the house open, but the smile on his face dissipated when he saw a familiar yet shocking figure standing in front of him. He took a step back in shock. "Marcus", Julia said in a low voice when she saw the butler's reaction. She knew she was the last person he wanted to see and had instructed the guards at the gate not to inform him of her arrival. "Julia..." Marcus said as he tried to regain his composure. What was she doing here, and why wasn't he informed of her arrival? Alex! Alex would soon be home with his wife. How would he react if he saw her here?
