The lab lights dimmed slightly as Lucius stood in front of the chamber.
Liline stood beside him, calm and ready.
In the center of the room, two stasis beds rolled forward.
On one bed lay Scaldrith, arms crossed, unconscious but breathing.
On the other was Vernyx, his serpent form slightly coiled, eyes shut, but his tail twitching faintly.
Lucius looked at them both.
"They've been broken, freed, and now…" he raised a hand, "…they will be remade."
Behind them, the doors opened.
Two glowing beasts walked in.
Tall, metallic, and powerful Luperion.
They moved without sound, their bodies glowing faint silver under Luxorite energy.
Lucius turned to Liline.
"Bring them here."
Liline nodded once.
With a soft pulse from her palm, the floor shifted.
Mechanical arms gently guided the two Luperions beside the hybrid bodies.
One stood behind Vernyx.
The other behind Scaldrith.
He raised one hand.
"Now…"
"Let's fuse the two of you."
