"Wait a minute—who are those two on the rooftop? Why do they look so familiar?" Michelle leaned toward the window, spotting a crimson figure and a golden one standing atop the building.
After a closer look, Michelle's expression changed drastically. He immediately shouted at the pilot, "Pull up! Don't land! Get us out of here—now!"
His face was filled with panic as he looked down at the two men on the rooftop — weren't those Iron Man and the Emperor? Why were _they_ at the rooftop of Pym Technologies?
If he hadn't seen the people who were supposed to meet him lying scattered unconscious on the rooftop, he would've landed directly — only to be captured alive by those two.
Last time, the Emperor had raided another one of their bases and taken all the vibranium. Their informants within S.H.I.E.L.D. had been almost completely wiped out by the Avengers. How could Michelle not be terrified?
If he ended up in the hands of the Emperor or the Avengers, it would mean certain death — and he'd likely drag other Hydra members down with him. The best plan was to flee quickly; hopefully, they still didn't know why he'd come to Pym Technologies.
"Oh ho?" Tony looked up at the helicopter rising into the sky. "Looks like Michelle isn't in the mood to attend the party. That's a shame—I was hoping to buy him a drink."
Alan watched the helicopter fleeing in a rush. The odds of escaping from them? Zero. Michelle's actions at this point were meaningless.
"Then why aren't you chasing him?" Alan asked, raising a brow. The helicopter was flying farther and farther away, and Tony wasn't showing any signs of urgency—in fact, he was stretching and warming up right beside him.
"You're the Emperor—if you're not in a rush, why should I be?" Tony waved his arms nonchalantly. "I learned the fun of chasing down prey from _you_, after all!"
Alan hadn't expected Tony to read his thoughts so clearly.
He _wanted_ Michelle to believe he could escape—to fall into that illusion—only to be relentlessly hunted down. What's more, there were still many guests in the building below. If any Hydra operatives managed to injure someone…
That would be disastrous. The best tactic was to lure Michelle's helicopter over the water. Even if they had to shoot it down, it wouldn't crash into a building.
At worst, the wreckage would fall into the lake or sea — and they could fish it out later.
"…You figured it out," Alan said with a subtle smile. The mental acuity of Iron Man was truly no joke.
Inside the helicopter, Michelle kept glancing back, noticing that the two figures were still standing on the rooftop and didn't seem to be pursuing them. He slowly relaxed, crossed his legs, and snapped his fingers to signal for his bodyguard to pour him a drink.
Taking a sip of whiskey, Michelle began to smirk mockingly. "Iron Man? Emperor? They didn't even realize I'm in this helicopter. What kind of 'superheroes' are they supposed to be?"
"This world is falling apart _because_ of these so-called 'heroes'. Only Hydra can save this rotten world!"
Michelle grew more and more agitated, spitting out insult after insult toward the Emperor and the Avengers. His bodyguards echoed his words enthusiastically.
Soon, the entire group was shouting "Hail Hydra!" loudly inside the helicopter.
Alan, seeing that the chopper was now flying over the sea, turned to Tony. "It's time."
