Chapter 171 - With the Infinity Stones, Can You Farm on the Moon?

Inside the Gaia Gundam, Raven was shouting excitedly.

This was her first time piloting such a cool piece of gear, and also the first time she'd participated in a large-scale superhero battle as a vanguard.

Back during the New York battle, Raven had only seen it on TV from the China.

At that time, she fantasized about becoming a flying and teleporting superhero who could fly straight to New York from the China and beat up all the aliens in the sky.

While promoting national prestige, she could also save her idiot brother from danger.

In Raven's mind, Su Ye was very strong—so strong that no one his age could match him.

But the stronger he was, the greater the satisfaction Raven felt when she saved him.

Unfortunately, back then she was just a little girl who could only shapeshift, and she couldn't contribute much in a real fight.

But now, it was different.

With the Gaia Gundam, Raven felt that—aside from Su Ye—no one else in the Great Wall Guardians could match her destructive power in aerial combat.

In fact, that was almost true, the Great Wall Guardians didn't have many innate flying combatants.

Those who could fly and fight in the air included Iron Man Tony, Green Armor Guy Harry, and Electro Max.

Thor was strong, but he hadn't come to Xandar.

With the Gaia Gundam leading the charge, and under her command, the pirates piloted small, hummingbird-like ships, following closely behind. Together, they formed a sharp steel blade, thrusting directly into Ronan's ship.

Ronan's ship was huge, several kilometers long, and inside it were countless small, bee-like necro-ships, densely filling the entire sky.

Though most of the necro-ships were focused on the front lines, some noticed the rear and split off to counterattack.

The Ravagers' small hummingbird ships were similar to Star-Lord's Milano.

While slightly weaker in agility and firepower, they were still much stronger than Ronan's necro-ships.

At the very least, it was the difference between super soldiers and regular grunts.

Adding the Gaia Gundam, this hero-level combat power, once unleashed, was like a tiger entering a flock of sheep. It immediately shattered the incoming necro-ship fleet.

Of course, the goal of the Gaia Gundam and the hummingbird ships wasn't to engage in a prolonged fight with the necro-ships, but to assault Ronan's Dark Aster.

They soon reached the vicinity of the Dark Aster, and at the same time, thanks to Nova Corps' efforts, Ronan's frontal assault was also taking heavy losses.

After all, Ronan only had one ship, and it could only carry so many necro-ships.

On the other hand, the enemy was an entire planet, with countless fighter jets in reserve, and various anti-aircraft cannons capable of launching attacks against the sky.

If it came to a war of attrition, Ronan would definitely lose.

If it weren't for the special forces of Shinra and the various models of battle mechs provided by the weapons development department, Ronan's necro-ships would have been wiped out by now.

However, despite all this, Ronan remained calm and collected, as if victory was assured.

In fact, Ronan even used the Dark Aster's loudspeakers to address the city below.

"Nova people, surrender now and hand over the Nova Prime. If you do I may consider sparing your lives!"

"Otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless. Once I take Xandar, I'll slaughter every last one of you!"

The Kree Empire that Ronan came from had a blood feud with the Nova Empire, so no one doubted he'd actually commit genocide.

However, most of the Nova people felt that Ronan was doomed to failure.

His ship was trapped in the sky, unable to move, and the small necro-ships he deployed were nearly all wiped out. In this situation, where did he find the courage to demand Nova's surrender?

On the ground, in the capital city area, an energy shield similar to the Asgardian palace shields had already been raised. Even if the Dark Aster fired its annihilation beam, they could still withstand it.

So, where did Ronan's confidence come from?

Could he have some hidden trump card that no one knows about?

Compared to the blindly confident masses, the upper echelons of the Nova Empire, being more informed, were filled with more doubts.

Like what the Ravagers had mentioned—about the Orb and the Power Stone.

The Nova Empire's upper echelons weren't exactly sure how powerful the Orb and Power Stone really were. Star-Lord had briefly mentioned them in the information, but didn't go into much detail.

However, one thing the Nova Empire's high command was sure about was that, since the Power Stone was something the Cosmic Collector valued, it must be incredibly powerful.

If Ronan was really relying on that, they might need to take it seriously.

On the ground, just as Shinra's troops began their assault, Avalanche received a message from Su Ye.

"Withdraw from Nova's capital for now. It's best if you can leave Xandar entirely. War is breaking out—staying won't help the outcome and may just get you caught in the crossfire."

"When the war is nearly over, no matter who wins, Shinra's guard will be weakest—that's when we'll strike to destroy them."

Avalanche took his words seriously. None of them believed they could survive unharmed if the whole planet was destroyed.

Even Su Ye had made preparations to flee into space at a moment's notice.

After all, Ronan was holding an Infinity Stone—the same stone Thanos used to crush Titan's moon into meteors.

No one knew what Ronan—a man willing to risk everything for revenge—might do.

On Xandar, many others like Avalanche were retreating. The Nova government was also responding to the crisis.

Just then, a purple glow lit up the Dark Aster.

As the Gaia Gundam and the Ravagers broke through the necro-ship formation and closed in on the Dark Aster…

A purple light—the color of the Power Stone—shone over the ship.

And this glow didn't appear sporadically, but instead, the entire Dark Aster was enveloped in purple light, as if it were covered by a layer of purple light film.

Seeing this light film, the upper echelons of the Nova Empire frowned in concern.

"Is Ronan's ship using Kree Empire technology? Why haven't we seen this kind of power before?"

The high-energy alert sirens blared on Nova Empire's radar, filling the command room with noise, forcing everyone to shout to be heard.

Unfortunately, no one knew the answer to this question, so they could only wait for Ronan to unleash his attack and pray that Xandar's defense shield could withstand such an assault.

On the other side, Su Ye was also shocked by Ronan.

In the movie, Ronan simply embedded the Power Stone into his hammer, and crushed the Cosmic Cube, wielding the Power Stone and pressing it into the hammer.

Compared to the Collector's complex unlocking method and his cautious attitude, Ronan's raw handling showed how strong he was.

When Star-Lord—who had Celestial DNA—held the stone, he could only curl up and tremble.

But Ronan not only posed dramatically with the stone, he calmly caught his hammer and embedded it—all without harm, even looking pleased.

That suggested Ronan's strength might rival Thanos.

If Ronan were given a gauntlet and a desire to wipe out half the universe's population, he'd definitely do a better job than Thanos.

Unfortunately, the movie was limited in runtime and didn't give Ronan many opportunities to shine, even assigning him a miserable defeat via awkward dancing.

Now, things were different. Ronan had all the time and opportunities to showcase his power.

And instead of directly embedding the Power Stone into his hammer, he embedded it into his spaceship?

Su Ye looked at the Dark Aster, completely enveloped in purple light, and his mind began to churn.

The Power Stone… could be used like this? Embedded in a ship? That turned the whole ship into a weapon!

Su Ye felt as though his thoughts had been suddenly unlocked.

If a hammer can house an Infinity Stone, and a spaceship can house one, then what about a patch of land or even a planet?

What if Su Ye took the Infinity Stones back to Earth and embedded them into the land of China? What would happen then?

Would it be like Aerith channeling Xandar's life springs to nurture her church flowers—except on a national scale?

At that point, the Loess Plateau would no longer erode, the Taklamakan Desert would turn green. The whole country would be blessed with perfect weather and fertile fields.

One harvest could feed over a billion people. With no more dependence on imported grain and feed.

This...

Su Ye scratched his head, wondering why he was suddenly thinking about farming. It felt like something encoded in his genes had taken over for a moment.

Like how scientists immediately tested moon soil for plantability after Chang'e-5 returned.

Some things are just deeply rooted.

But speaking of Chang'e-5, Su Ye had another thought.

What if he embedded an Infinity Stone on the moon?

Would it transform the soil and surface of the Moon into an environment suitable for human life?

Then not only could we grow crops freely, but we could also walk around helmet-free.

And they could jump high, oh, really high!

With one-sixth of Earth's gravity, if Earthlings went there, wouldn't they all be like superheroes?

Nova Corps soldiers could dunk, and Gazi could fly with a dog!

So, monkey-awesome!

This is definitely something to consider.

And taking it further, if all six Infinity Stones were embedded into the Moon, it could even turn the Moon into a massive spacecraft, traveling through the universe.

Wasn't there a theory that the Moon is a spacecraft left by aliens billions of years ago?

No need to guess anymore, Su Ye can give it the final confirmation.

And not just the Moon, Earth could work too.

No need for a planetary engine to stop Earth's rotation and push it away.

If the Sun really undergoes a helium flash, we could simply steer Earth away from the solar system while it rotates.

We wouldn't even need to fly, like in The Wandering Earth, taking 2000 years to reach Proxima Centauri.

At that point, just open a wormhole and transport Earth directly, saving both time and effort.

Better yet, hide the stones inside the sun—maybe that could stop the helium flash instantly.

The more he thought about it, the more Su Ye felt it could work.

Of course, all of this depends on him having enough power to wield the Infinity Stones.

In the sky, the Dark Aster began attacking.

The purple energy shield on the surface of the spaceship wasn't just an energy manifestation or a simple defense.

As Ronan operated from within, black vortexes of mist formed around the ship, and from them, countless purple spheres swirled out, creating a massive purple storm.

From afar, the orbs looked tiny—smaller than ping pong balls. But each one was actually over ten meters in diameter.

There were hundreds, thousands of them, densely rotating around the Dark Aster.

Then they fell like hailstones toward Xandar's planetary shield.

The hundreds of giant light orbs hit the shield, and with just one attack, the shield trembled violently, giving the feeling that it could shatter at any moment.

Beneath the shield, Nova's leadership felt the sudden surge of power from the Dark Aster—it made their hearts tremble.

"Prime, this won't work. We have to fight back. We can't sit here and wait to die!"

In the command room, Nova Corps commander Roman Dey said grimly beside the Nova Prime.

As he spoke, the Nova Corps jets were launching desperate assaults on the Dark Aster.

But against the Power Stone's might, the jets were moths to a flame—nothing but fireworks against the hull.

"Commander, tell the Nova Corps to pull back, don't sacrifice them needlessly. Activate all the ground defense weapons, and when the shield breaks, we'll engage Ronan directly!"

Earth has nukes, so the Nova Empire naturally has its own ultimate weapons.

However, the Nova Empire wasn't willing to use this last resort unless absolutely necessary. After all, releasing such a weapon at such close range could end up damaging them as much as their enemy.

Watching in the sky, the purple power of the Dark Star surged again, preparing to strike downward, while the three 1st Special Forces of Shinra took a deep breath in front of the Supreme Nova.

"Commander, have you mastered that kind of power?"

Commander Rhomann Dey raised his hands, and a layer of golden light suddenly glowed from them.

"I've mastered a bit, but the exact extent of it still needs to be tested on the battlefield."

"Then go, when the defense breaks, use your power to write the glory of the Nova Corps and protect our nation!"
